Gosh! How do I even begin to explain the experience we had in Wellington (now affectionately nicknamed the home of severe weather warnings and eating your bodyweight in sushi and chicken rolls). We began the day umbrellas at the ready, all slightly disappointed at Wellington's severe weather warnings: Heavy rain and extreme winds of up to 110km/h are what we had to look forward to. Yet as we sang our way through the streets it became clear that no matter what the weather, the day was soon to become everyone’s 2020 highlight. No matter what kind of things we all individually enjoyed, with experiences that varied from seeing the original treaty documents to screaming so loud you couldn’t speak after 15 minutes in the scare house, Mrs Simpson, Ms Ohlson, Lana and Kaitlin had it covered. As amazing as all of these experiences were, there is no way they have beaten just being surrounded by 16 of the most amazing, strong and hilarious women.
A massive thank you to KCDC Think Big, without the support provided through the KCDC Think Big grant we received earlier this year this opportunity would not have been possible.
