This term Outdoor Education at Ōtaki College has been filled with a variety of exciting and challenging activities across different year levels. The term kicked off with ODE3 taking part in a sea kayaking experience in the Kenepuru Sounds, where students navigated the stunning waters, gaining both skill and confidence. This was followed by an adventurous trip that involved ODE2 paddling down the Whanganui River in Canadian canoes. Students experienced a mix of sun and rain, testing their resilience and teamwork. The term also included raft building and tubing with 10ODE. The raft building involved students put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test while having a blast on the water. A big thank you to Howard Manins and Carrie Yaxley for their support and involvement in making these EOTC experiences memorable for the students at Ōtaki College.
