Shave for a Cure

2024 has created opportunities to begin supporting causes that we had good traction with pre covid. This term we promoted Shave For A Cure to raise money for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer NZ. We had 8 shavees that came forward to have their heads shaved in front of a full school audience in the hall on Thursday 15 August. There was tremendous support for these young people from both students and staff. The Ōtaki College team raised over $2000. Thanks to friends, whānau and the community who sponsored our students. Thanks also to ZEAL and Bobbi's hair salon for supporting our event.
