Lion Dance

On Wednesday the 27th October, our Year 7 & 8 students were fortunate to experience the final activity that had been organised as part of our 'Discover China' celebrations from Term 3. Students had the opportunity to learn the Lion dance under the awesome guidance of Winsome Lam, the fantastic tutor. Students were taught a range of dance moves, imitating the graceful movements of a cat or Lion. They were then able to put these moves into practice wearing the Incredible Lion costumes that Winsome was able to bring. Students had an entertaining time practicing their dance moves, and enjoyment was on full display over the course of the day. A huge thanks to Whaea Destine for all of her work in organising our Discover China activities, and to the fabulous instructors who gave up their time.
