We are now well into our winter sports season, and it's been another action-packed term for sports at Ōtaki College, with our students demonstrating fantastic effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship . We're thrilled to see such strong participation in football, netball, and basketball.
Winter sports fees have been added to students' accounts please get in touch with me if you have any questions or concerns.
Our youngest students have been busy with their swimming and cross country events. It's been great to see their enthusiasm and determination in the pool and on the course. A huge congratulations to all our Year 7 and 8 participants, and we're especially proud of those that qualified to represent Ōtaki College at the regional cross country championships.
Get ready to cheer on our Year 7 and 8 footballers playing in the much-anticipated Te Horo Inter-school Football Competition.
Our Year 9 and 10 netball team recently participated in the College Sport Wellington netball tournament. They played with fantastic energy and competitive spirit.
Finally, a special thank you to Baily Johns for her excellent article on Canoe Polo, which you can read below. It's wonderful to highlight the diverse sporting talents within our Ōtaki College community, and Baily's piece is a fantastic contribution.
