Friday 7 June saw a group of Pūhoro students assemble down at Te Wānanga o Raukawa. On arrival students were welcomed and were divided into groups based on their NCEA year level. The day was separated into four sessions, three in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Level 1 students spent their time meeting the challenge of learning all about their heart rate, sensory motor skills and activities related to medical procedures from the experts from the health board.
Level 2 and Level 3 students had a number of sessions including: designing and creating their own school grounds and environment, Toi Māori and working with coding and electronics.
Overall the day was a great opportunity for students to be a part of and to learn from the experts who came to our home town for our leaders of tomorrow.
