Edward Sieber was born on August 10, 1924 in Deans, New Jersey. He was the son of Otto and Irene Sieber. He was living in Ridge at the time of his enlistment on 11 March 1943. He achieved the rank of Apprentice Seaman 2nd Class. He was in an amphibious training program. He received the 401 Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on September 20, 1943 at the U. S. Naval Hospital, Bethesda, Maryland. Mr. Sieber passed away on February 12, 1987 in Jacksonville, Florida.
