JOHN J. PFUNDSTEIN

A solemn requiem mass, in which two of his nephews officiated, was said yesterday at St. Francis de Sales R. C. church, Patchogue, for John J. Pfundstein, aged 75, who died late Friday following a brief illness at his home in Coram, where he had lived for the last 21 years.

A native of Brooklyn, Mr. Pfundstein followed the clothing cutting trade there for many years up to his retirement 30 years ago.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Marie Anna Pfundstein; three daughters, Mrs. John Schroeder of Patchogue, Mrs. Elmer Roberts of Blue Point and Mrs. Lillian Risley R Coram; four sons, Frank Pfundstein of Bay Shore, Theodore Pfundstein and William Pfundstein, both of Coram, and, John Pfundstein of Cincinnati, 0.; two brothers, Adam Pfundstein and Anthony Pfundstein, both of Brooklyn; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Fredericks and Mrs. Catherine Huelster, both of Brooklyn; 13 grandchildren and three great-grand-children.

He also leaves two nieces, Sister M.. Augusta, 0. P., a teacher in Bishop McDonnell Memorial High school, Brooklyn, and Sister Miriam Clare, 0. P., a teacher, in St. Michael's Parochial school, East New York, and two nephews) the Rev. Adam Pfundstein and the Rev. Edward Pfundstein, both of Brooklyn.

At a mass, the Rev. Edward Pfundstein Was celebrant, the Rev. Adam Pfundstein, deacon, and the Rev. Edward J. Olszewicz; sub-deacon. Interment was made in St. John's cemetery, Brooklyn.
