Middle Island

This cemetery is located on the East Side of Yaphank Rocky Point Road approximately ¼ mile north of Longwood Road. It is behind and slightly to the north of the old Methodist Church, which is not in use at this time. These stones were copied by Elbert N. Carter on April 15, 1970 and rechecked on Aug. 10, 1973.

2. Robert H. Dayton died May 8, 1861 age 20

• Wm. H. Dayton died June 10 1837 aged 2 yr’s & 2 mo’s

• Daniel B. Dayton died April 8, 1860 age 56

Elizabeth R. Widow of Walter F. Terry and formerly wife of Daniel B. Dayton died 26 April 1890 age 81

• Alice A. died Sept. 9 18(?) aged 6

• Theo. Alonzo died Sept. 9, 1858 aged?
