Leon Edwards was born in 1922 in Suffolk, New York. Before enlisting in the service, Edwards was doing post graduate work. He was inducted at Coram, New York on December 11, 1942. Edwards was discharged from the service at Fort Dix, New Jersey on November 3, 1945.
