Orlando Edwards was born in Middle Island on February 5, 1896. He was the son of Charles and Cornelia Edwards of Middle Island. Edwards was inducted into the Army May 29, 1918 at Bayshore New York. He was assigned to the 152 Depot Brigade at Camp Upton until June 19, 1918. He served overseas from Aug. 14, 1918 until July 9, 1919. He was attached to the 320 Supply Company, Quarter Master Corps until his discharge on July 16, 1919.
