Wallace Edwin Mott
Wallace Mott was born on August 19, 1893 in Middle Island, New York. He was the son of Jacob and Jessie Mott. Before entering the service he worked on the farm of Hewlett Mott.
Mott enlisted in the Army on October 8, 1917. He was sent to Camp Upton where he was first assigned to the 152nd Depot Brigade. On July 18, 1918 he was assigned to the 305th Field Hospital, where he served with the 302nd Sanitary Train. In May of 1918 he was made an ambulance driver at Camp Upton. He was promoted to Private 1st Class on July 1, 1918. Mott was discharged from the service on July 18, 1919.
