Tombstone Project

The students at the Longwood JHS are currently researching military records to provide tombstones for Veterans of the Revolutionary and Civil War time periods. Many of these veterans either have no marker or the stone is so old it cannot be read.

This project was started by the late town historian David Overton in 2000. In coordination with the current town historian Barbara Russell, the students hope to honor those who served our country
