Charles Davis was born in Coram, New York on February 7, 1893. He was 24 years old when he enlisted in the Navy on May 27, 1917. He saw overseas service, serving on a submarine chaser and later with the destroyer service.

Picture is sub chaser that Charles Davis was assigned.

Davis was discharged from the service on January 4, 1919.
