Walter Koecher was born in 1912 in Germany. he enlisted in the Army on September 18, 1942 at Riverhead Long Island. he served with the FRP, 3rd Prov. Battalion, Nosa, New Orleans, Louisiana. He was discharged from the service on March 29th, 1943 at Nosa, New Orleans, LA. Koecher was awarded a World War II Victory medal and a World War II service Lapel Button.
