Walter Kiezel was born in Goodyear, Conn. on July 9, 1919. He was living in Yaphank when he entered the Army at Ft. Jay, NY on Sept. 29, 1942. He was assigned to the 3769th Quartermaster Trucking Company. He was active in the Northern Solomons and Luzon, P.I. Walter was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific service medal, Philippines Liberation Ribbon, World War II victory medal, and Good Conduct medal and was discharged Jan. 11, 1946 at Ft. Dix, N.J.
