Yaphank, L.I.. February 18--The funeral of Adam C. Holmes was held from his late home at West Yaphank yesterday afternoon. Interment was in the Yaphank cemetery. Mr. Holmes was born here and was 46 years, 11 months of age. He was a prominent farmer of this section and his death widely mourned. A widow and several children survive him. He died on Tuesday after a lingering illness with a complication of diseases.
