James Morris was born in 1907. Before the war he was a mechanical draftsman. Morris was living in Gordon Heights when he enlisted in the Army on October 11, 1943 as a Private First Class. He was assigned to the 1060th Army Air Force Base Unit. He was awarded a World War II Service Button and a World War II Victory medal. Morris was discharged from the service on September 28, 1945 at Greensboro, North Carolina.
