Psst! We're moving!
Wen Siyu knew she was being difficult.
But she couldn’t help herself from acting this way.
The scene she had witnessed left her feeling extremely uneasy. Even though she clearly understood the situation, a subtle, sour emotion still lingered in her heart, especially since that woman was prettier and had a better figure than her!
This feeling was completely different from before. When Wen Siyu was still a fan of Jiang Xu, seeing him squat down at the high school gate and sign autographs for little fans, she would feel envious, slightly jealous, but also couldn’t help thinking how wonderful this man was. She would wonder if this man had any flaws and thought that with his gentle nature, she would willingly be his fan forever.
However, now the situation was entirely different.
Jiang Xu belonged to her.
Human desires were always endlessly expanding, like a thirsty vampire that could never be satisfied.
At first, she just wanted him to look at her once more—just one more glance would be enough.
Gradually, she began to hope that he would remember her face.
When they finally made contact as if it were a dream, she kept telling herself “no,” “impossible,” “don’t daydream,” and “be realistic.” Yet deep inside, there was a little person sitting on the tip of her heart, tirelessly waiting and hoping, wondering if a miracle might happen.
Wen Siyu truly hoped for a miracle to occur.
Then she fell into an even deeper state of dissatisfaction.
The little girl suddenly stopped talking, her head hanging low, standing there quietly, her voice almost blending into the background.
Jiang Xu heard it and froze for a moment.
She softly apologized to him.
Behind them was the Houhai Lake, its surface thinly frozen in winter. The girl stood in front of him with her head bowed, seemingly disappointed and disheartened.
Jiang Xu reached out with both hands, cupping her slightly cold face and lifting it up.
The man’s eyes were elongated by makeup, slightly drooping. The bridge of his nose exposed outside the mask appeared more three-dimensional under the shadow. His deep brown eyes calmly gazed at her: “You don’t need to apologize.”
Wen Siyu’s face was squeezed a bit between his palms, making her cheeks look chubby.
Jiang Xu wanted to pinch them but restrained himself, maintaining a serious expression as he lectured his little girl.
“You haven’t done anything wrong. You can react to me however you feel. That’s all that matters. Don’t have any other emotions. Don’t hide anything from me, and don’t try to adapt to these situations. Laugh when you’re happy, scold me when you hate something. In the future, no matter what you are like in front of others, I want you to be a carefree child around me. Okay?”
He spoke earnestly, slowly, his deep voice carrying his gentleness, along with his clumsy yet genuine comfort.
Wen Siyu blinked, her cheeks puffed up as she nodded within his palms: “Teacher Jiang.”
“Hmm?” Jiang Xu couldn’t resist and pinched her cheek.
Wen Siyu slapped his hand away: “That woman is really annoying.”
“Yes, she’s very annoying.” Jiang Xu’s poor hand had been slapped several times throughout the night. He pulled the little girl’s hand over, enveloping it in his palm to warm it.
“She’s fine while filming, but she keeps secretly taking advantage of you. My woman’s intuition tells me she’s trying to seduce you.” Wen Siyu wrinkled her nose.
Jiang Xu found her expression amusing: “Oh, the little girl has changed now, already starting to refer to herself as a woman.”
Wen Siyu paused, her face turning red: “Even if you eat tofu from little girls, do you feel guilty now?”
“Guilt is not allowed.” Jiang Xu pulled her other hand over, enveloping it as well, “I’ll keep eating this tofu until I can’t anymore, and I won’t feel guilty about it.”
“Teacher Jiang,” Wen Siyu lowered her head, watching her thumb glide along the base of the man’s palm, peeking out slightly and brushing against his knuckles, “Do you have to go back to filming soon?”
Jiang Xu grabbed her restless fingers, hummed in acknowledgment: “I need to earn money to support my girlfriend; I can’t skip work.”
“I’m afraid you’ll be too late tonight, so I’ll wish you a Merry Christmas in advance.” Wen Siyu giggled, tiptoeing and looking up, lightly kissing him through the mask before quickly pulling back, “But I’ll wait for you to come back.”
Night fell, and lights flickered along the shores like stars scattered across the sky. The little girl smiled, her black eyes under the woolen hat sparkling like they were lit from within.
Jiang Xu’s heart melted into a puddle with her light kiss and her words.
Returning to the set, Gu Hengan was leaning against the doorway playing with his phone. He looked up just in time to see them.
Gu Hengan was sharp and had already figured out what was going on. He shrugged, averting his gaze: “I didn’t see anything, hurry up and go in.”
Jiang Xu: “...”
Although he was curious about how Wen Siyu and Gu Hengan became familiar, there was no time for him to delve into it now.
After the man left, Gu Hengan hesitated, wanting to say something as he looked at Wen Siyu.
Wen Siyu: “...”
The little girl turned to leave, rolling her eyes as she walked: “What exactly do you want to ask with that expression?”
Gu Hengan: “Even with a mask on, you can see my expression.”
“The intensity of your gaze has strongly conveyed your desire to me. Being able to express such emotion in your eyes makes you a good actor.” Wen Siyu praised him sincerely.
Gu Hengan: “...”
Wen Siyu didn’t rush back to the hotel immediately but went out for a pleasant stroll and returned with bags full of items. Entering the elevator, the doors were just closing.
With a cry, Wen Siyu rushed forward, sticking her foot out to reopen the doors.
She sighed in relief, then looked up to see a woman standing next to the elevator buttons.
Wearing sunglasses, black hair, a long black coat, and a bright red dress underneath.
Xia Yuan happened to look up as well, sizing her up from head to toe.
Wen Siyu remained composed, silently clicking her tongue twice in her mind, thinking that celebrities were indeed different. Even though she appeared cold, she managed to exude an air of ‘I’m not cold, I’m cool.’
Was this a narrow encounter?
In a narrow encounter, the brave prevail. Wen Siyu began considering the feasibility of slapping her twice.
But she hadn’t done anything wrong. She was just acting. Would doing so be considered throwing a tantrum?
Lost in thought, Wen Siyu casually pressed a floor button.
Xia Yuan’s gaze slid from the white down jacket the girl had changed out of to the pink woolen hat on her head, finally settling on her face.
Her eyes were quite large, with light makeup applied.
A plain, unremarkable face that, although could be considered attractive, wasn’t particularly stunning.
At least Xia Yuan was confident she was prettier.
Moreover, her outfit was rather childish.
So this was Jiang Xu’s type?
She raised an eyebrow and chuckled.
“It’s you, right?” she spoke softly, her voice pleasant, “Jiang Xu’s someone?”
Wen Siyu looked at her, raising an eyebrow: “Who?”
The woman was taller, wearing heels, looking down at her loftily, speaking slowly: “That’s something you should know. Who do you think you are?”
Wen Siyu could now confirm that her earlier casual talk with Jiang Xu about ‘woman’s intuition’ wasn’t just nonsense.
The hostility emanating from this woman’s entire demeanor and words was too obvious.
Wen Siyu blinked, quietly looking at her: “Sister, who are you?”
Her sudden counter-question caught Xia Yuan off guard. Before she could respond, the little girl continued: “Ah, I know now. Are you a newcomer? Starting at this age? I’ve heard it’s tough for newbies in the entertainment industry. Work hard in filming, okay?” As soon as she finished, the elevator dinged and stopped. Wen Siyu picked up her bags and smiled sweetly, “You must work hard this year to make everyone know you. After all, at this age, if you can’t make a name for yourself, life will get really tough later on.” Timing it perfectly, she exited the elevator without looking back.
Leaving Xia Yuan alone in the elevator, gritting her teeth and glaring at her, wanting to leave but hesitating, ultimately watching the white figure disappear behind the elevator doors.
Wen Siyu pretended to walk a short distance, then turned back to press the up arrow for another elevator after hearing the previous doors close.
So, encountering an actress who flirts with your boyfriend during their scenes, doesn’t it make you mad? Doesn’t it? It’s infuriating, isn’t it?!
Wen Siyu pouted, went upstairs to her room, dumped the bags on the sofa, and sat down. She pulled out a box of chocolates and started eating.
After munching on four or five pieces, she stood up with a thud and went into the bathroom to remove her makeup and take a shower.
Half an hour later, Wen Siyu emerged with her wet hair hanging down, just as the clock on the wall pointed to 10.
A small trolley appeared next to the dining table, with a steak, pasta, a small bowl of vegetable and fruit salad, and a few snacks.
Wen Siyu: “...”
The pent-up frustration she had been harboring suddenly disappeared.
Being alone in such a large suite at night was still a bit scary. Wen Siyu turned on all the lights, then dragged the trolley to the big sofa in the home theater room. Sitting cross-legged, she ate while watching a movie. Coincidentally, it was a film she was very familiar with—Jiang Xu’s Flame of Passion .
Wen Siyu rolled her eyes. Could it be that the hotel manager knew Boss Jiang was staying in this room and deliberately played it?
In this movie, the man had a buzz cut, very short, almost shaved. His muscles were prominent, his facial contours accentuated by makeup to appear colder and sharper. His eyes and expressions carried a chilling violence.
Every character Jiang Xu portrayed was a completely different person.
And each was different from his real-life self.
Wen Siyu leisurely watched the movie, finishing all the food, when her phone rang.
She swiped the screen open—
[Mom: 2606]
Wen Siyu: “...”
Whining softly.
The little girl rushed into the bathroom, dried her hair, and tied it into a neat ponytail. She took off her bathrobe, put on a sweater and jeans, and even socks. With a french fry in her mouth, she stood in front of the mirror, double-checking her appearance before opening the door and stepping out.
Jiang Xu’s room was also on the 26th floor, but it was quite far. Wearing hotel slippers, Wen Siyu searched for a while before finding room 2606.
Taking a deep breath to compose herself at the door, she knocked twice. The door opened.
It was Jiang Xu who opened the door for her.
Wen Siyu: “...”
Xu Sheng stood behind, arms crossed, looking at her with an expression that suggested confession would lead to leniency while resistance would bring severity. She asked the first question—”When did you arrive?”
Wen Siyu looked at Jiang Xu.
The latter closed his eyes in despair.
Wen Siyu: “...”
Wen Siyu: “...Today just arrived?”
Xu Sheng: “How come I heard someone say you came yesterday?”
Wen Siyu laughed dryly: “Yes, last night. If we round it, it’s after midnight.”
Xu Sheng rolled her eyes playfully and asked: “Do you want to sleep with Mommy?”
Wen Siyu’s face flushed red. She glanced at Jiang Xu beside her and protested: “Mom, I’m twenty-one.”
Xu Sheng responded with an “Oh”: “Alright, then Mommy will book you a room? Are you scared?”
Wen Siyu: “...No.”
Xu Sheng was a woman of action. Ten minutes later, a waiter came to escort her. The little girl obediently followed him, turning a corner.
The layout was similar to Jiang Xu’s room, except it lacked a home theater.
Upon entering, Wen Siyu’s first move was to turn on all the lights. Bouncing three steps onto the bed, she buried her face in the pillow for three seconds. Her phone rang. She sat up with a thump, pulling it out from under her butt and swiped it open.
Jiang Xu sent over a picture—it was the snacks she bought.
[Boyfriend: Thank you, the chocolate was delicious.]
Wen Siyu: !!!!!!
Who said they were for you to eat?
They were mine! My chocolates!
Without hesitation, she stepped into her slippers and rushed out of the room towards Jiang Xu’s room. She had barely arrived, her finger poised high ready to knock, when the door opened from the inside.
An arm directly pulled her in.
Wen Siyu was startled, but quickly regained her composure. She was already pressed against the door.
Jiang Xu chuckled softly, pressing her lips to kiss her deeply.
Their lips and tongues entwined as the man’s long legs squeezed between hers, his knee slowly rubbing upwards.
Wen Siyu’s legs felt weak, and she weakly patted his back twice with her hands.
Jiang Xu ignored her, using one large hand to lift both her hands high and press them against the door. His other hand slipped under the edge of her sweater, his fingertips touching her smooth abdomen and sliding downwards.
Wen Siyu shivered, tightly clamping her legs around his thigh wedged between them.
A sound hummed from Jiang Xu’s throat as his lips, hot with passion, pressed onto her collarbone, trailing downward. Suddenly, he stopped.
Wen Siyu looked down at him through hazy eyes.
Darkness filled the depths of the man’s deep brown eyes. His hand explored her back, and suddenly her chest loosened.
Before she realized it, he had lowered his head and bitten down.
Soft and tender, the tiny tip quivering.
Jiang Xu’s tongue lightly swept over it, and the little person above moaned, her voice sticky and sultry, tightening his whole body and igniting him.
He lifted her, wrapping her legs around his waist.
Between them, only her panties and his jeans separated them. The somewhat rough fabric brushed against her thin layer, causing her to whimper into his shoulder.
Jiang Xu chuckled deeply, his voice hoarse and barely audible: “What did you say?”
Pinching gently between two fingers, not too light nor too heavy.
Wen Siyu nibbled on his ear, emitting fragmented sounds, unable to speak coherently. Her legs tightened around his waist.
Jiang Xu pulled her soft little hand, placing it on the buckle of his jeans, biting her ear: “Will you help me take it off?”
She heard him, her hand trembling, not daring to move.
Jiang Xu guided her small hand, slowly fastening it onto his belt buckle, a click sounded.
Wen Siyu buried her head deeply, only hearing the rustling of fabric, then feeling him pressing against her.
Hot, pulsating, slowly and steadily breaching the fortress.
Her nails dug deeply into him, calling his name with every movement.
“I’m here,” he breathed heavily, kissing her moist eyelids.
“I’m here.”
...
Wen Siyu’s flight was in the afternoon the next day. Jiang Xu had a full day of filming, so he called Zhou Yi to send her to the airport. Before leaving in the morning, he repeatedly reminded her. The little girl grumbled and snuggled in her blanket, unwilling to move.
Jiang Xu sat at the head of the bed, smoothing her hair. Looking at her like this, he sighed: “In this state, how can you go? Why don’t you change your ticket to tomorrow?”
Wen Siyu sniffed: “Will I be any different tomorrow?”
Jiang Xu thought for a moment, realizing she had a point, then furrowed his brows, asking her: “When do you graduate?”
“What for? Do you want to keep a golden cage?” Wen Siyu flicked her eyelids.
Unexpectedly, the man replied decisively: “Yes.”
Wen Siyu huffed, turning her back to him, unwilling to acknowledge him.
Silently plotting, she decided that upon returning, she must join a gym. Next time, she wouldn’t let him cry without changing her surname.
Lazing in bed until ten o’clock, she got up, took a shower, ordered some food, and at noon, dragged her little suitcase downstairs.
The elevator stopped at the 22nd floor, dinging as the doors opened.
Someone walked in from outside.
Wen Siyu looked up. Oh, fate sure was funny.
The woman had changed into a black dress, black stockings, and a maroon coat, pairing it with matching sunglasses.
Xia Yuan saw her and seemed a bit surprised.
Glancing at the suitcase in her hand, she smiled: “Are you leaving? Didn’t Jiang Xu see you off?”
Wen Siyu raised an eyebrow, remaining silent.
Xia Yuan acted as if she expected her silence, quickly continuing on her own: “Makes sense. Teacher Jiang has a packed schedule. Even if he didn’t, time is something you allocate differently for different people.”
Wen Siyu: “...”
The woman seemed to feel that she had finally regained the upper hand she lost last time, laughing flirtatiously. She even offered with apparent concern: “Should I have my assistant drive you? It’s quite pitiful to go to the airport alone.”
“...”
Wen Siyu secretly rolled her eyes.
The elevator just reached the ground floor, the metal doors slowly opening. Wen Siyu dragged her suitcase out first, with Xia Yuan following closely behind. Just as they stepped out of the hotel entrance, a nanny car was parked outside.
Xia Yuan flashed a smile at Wen Siyu: “Looks like my assistant has come to pick me up. See you again if fate allows!”
As soon as she finished speaking, the back door of the van was swiftly pulled open. Jiang Xu sat inside, half his body and half his face visible, only his arm extended out.
Wen Siyu was a bit surprised but didn’t show it. She naturally retracted her suitcase handle and handed it over. Jiang Xu skillfully took it and tossed it to the back seat.
The little girl took two steps forward, already halfway into the car, but suddenly remembered something and turned back to look at the woman whose face didn’t look too pleased: “Sister, Beijing traffic is heavy. Your assistant might be stuck in a jam. It’s cold outside; why don’t you wait inside the lobby?” Pausing, she smiled sweetly, encouraging her, “Sister, work hard in filming. I hope I’ll know your name next year.”
With a “bang,” the car door slammed shut in front of her.
Then the car started, conveniently blowing a puff of exhaust in her face.
Xia Yuan: “...”
