Psst! We're moving!
After the shareholders’ meeting ended, Shi Min called her parents, who were abroad.
Her mother asked, “How have you been recently? Does being busy help take your mind off things?”
“Still struggling,” Shi Min replied. “I still haven’t found what I truly want to do.”
To outsiders, Shi Min was the epitome of success—a young, accomplished woman at just twenty-five, sharp and capable. But in her own eyes, life felt meaningless.
Whether it was Yuefeng Entertainment, HeCai Films, Dongshi Technology, or Dongshi Media, none of these were things she truly wanted to pursue.
Every day felt monotonous.
Six months ago, her medical checkup revealed signs of depression, which had worried her parents deeply.
“You’re too hard on yourself,” her mother said. “Ease up on work a bit. Once Yuefeng goes public, take some time off and go travel. Don’t keep overthinking things. Look at your brother—he’s carefree and lives life on his own terms. His last checkup showed he’s mentally and physically healthy.”
“I’ll take that as sarcasm toward him,” Shi Min chuckled softly, twirling a pen between her fingers. Finally stopping, she said into the phone, “I’ve set my sights on someone. I like both their appearance and personality. We’re currently dating.”
Her mother immediately grew anxious. “Who?”
“Someone you wouldn’t know,” Shi Min stretched lazily, gazing at the ceiling with a faint smile. “A freelancer who runs an art studio.”
“Oh, thank goodness it’s not an entertainer,” her mother sighed in relief. “Sometimes, I really worry you’ll end up like your brother…”
Shi Min rolled her eyes. “Just an ordinary person.”
“You must remember this—people aren’t always what they seem. Even with ordinary people, stay vigilant. Even if it’s just a casual relationship, don’t let your guard down. There’s so much people can covet about you. Your brother is a cautionary tale. You need to…”
“Hanging up now.” Without hesitation, Shi Min ended the call.
Not long after, the phone rang downstairs in the living room. Shi Min raised an eyebrow and sighed wearily.
Shi Chu picked up the call. Their mother pressed him for answers: “Did you know your sister is dating someone? Have you checked them out? Tell me, who is it? What’s he like? Is he an entertainer from her company?”
“It’s nothing serious yet,” Shi Chu replied. “We’re not at the point of background checks. My sister dating is like playing house—just a bit of kissing, hugging, and delivering meals. You don’t need to stress about marriage right now. When she gets serious, I’ll help vet them. Why are you worrying so much now…?”
“Aren’t you afraid she’ll fall into the same trap as her brother?!” Their mother didn’t mince words with her son. “If both of you get taken advantage of, where will I put my face? I don’t have many demands for your sister’s future spouse, just one thing—they must have integrity. If they turn out to be another…”
“All right, all right, I get it,” Shi Chu interrupted, sensing she was about to bring up old grievances.
Their mother wasn’t done yet. Taking a deep breath, she continued, “It makes me so angry! Only the Shi family could be so naive, falling for scams one after another! Those entertainers—do any of them truly want love? They’re all cunning, climbing the ladder for fame, power, money, status in the industry. Look at you—back then, you gave them resources and money, but in the end, they used your money to sleep with you and boost their own image. They didn’t care about your love, let alone marriage. They weren’t the type to settle down. Tell me, weren’t you foolish? Pouring your heart out like that…”
What started as concern for Shi Min quickly turned into a rant about Shi Chu’s past mistakes.
“…Hanging up.” True siblings—they even expressed frustration in the same way.
Shi Chu tossed the phone aside and shouted upstairs, “Shi Min, unplug the phone and turn it off.”
Their mother would surely report this to their father. Before their dad could launch an interrogation, Shi Chu had already devised a strategy.
From the second floor came a faint response: “Understood.”
Only in moments like these did the siblings stand united.

For the sake of earning a living, Luo Mingjing swallowed his pride and bought a pair of silicone breast inserts online, dutifully stepping into the role of a crossdressing guru.
When he went live, he still felt a wave of embarrassment. Faced with a flood of comments filled with shock (“Holy crap!”) and congratulations (“Congrats on unlocking a new world!”), Luo Mingjing said, “It’s like this…”
Chat: “Let’s see what excuses he comes up with!”
“I love seeing him act all flustered.”
“Sister Fairy looks gorgeous…”
“This awkward expression is priceless!”
Luo Mingjing gathered his thoughts and explained, “It’s like this—I’m trying on clothes for tall women, and bust size matters too. In the past, I only considered how outfits looked on flat-chested women, which was my oversight. So starting today, I’ll fulfill my responsibility. From now on, I’ll try on two versions of outfits…”
The chat mocked him mercilessly, accusing him of being overly formal and unable to admit embarrassment.
Luo Mingjing responded, “…You know, don’t say it out loud. I have my dignity.”
He continued sawing wood to make a guitar.
With his high ponytail, black straight skirt, and short leather boots crunching on the wood, he rolled up his sleeves and got to work.
His fans were nearly dying of laughter, showering him with praise for his tomboyish charm.
“Don’t laugh at me,” Luo Mingjing said. “It’s all for the money. What else do you think?”
The fans roared with laughter, claiming they understood. Luo Mingjing’s movements were exaggerated; when he finished sawing and stood up, the fake breasts bounced up and down.
Speechless, Luo Mingjing sighed and looked to the sky. Turning his back to adjust the inserts, he said, “No screenshots allowed on Weibo…”
Silver Bottle Breaks: “Afraid of getting banned? 23333”
Fairy’s Cowlick: “I’m slamming my keyboard—it’s adorable how Poor Guy blushes!”
Mirror That Doesn’t Reflect Fairies: “For survival, comrades! Do you know how hard it is?”
Fairy Calls High Above: “If you keep laughing, Fairy will livestream shaving his legs. You scoundrels [smirking].”
Fairy Moaning Beneath Me: “Quack quack quack!”
Crashing Into CEO Pays Millions: “Laughing so hard I sound like a frog hahaha”
Fairy’s Accountant: “But if you don’t post on Weibo, you won’t blow up or get rich hhhhh”
Fairy Girlfriend: “Adorable, want to worship the sun!”
Fairy Empress: “Shut up, only I can worship him!”
Ding—Eater of Fairies enters the livestream.
Ten seconds later,
Eater of Fairies silently left the livestream.

Shi Min started her car and called Fiona: “Which jewelers are we collaborating with? Send me their locations.”
“Huh? Is Auntie’s birthday coming up?”
“No overthinking. Just send it.”
After finishing the morning livestream, Luo Mingjing washed his hands and started cooking. The wind chimes jingled, and Shi Min walked in holding a white rectangular gift box, gently touching his chin.
“Not busy today?” Luo Mingjing was already accustomed to her touch.
“Not today,” Shi Min said. “I came to see you, Sister Mirror.”
Luo Mingjing laughed while holding a knife. Looking down at his chest, he asked Shi Min, “How does it look?”
“You resemble…” Shi Min tilted her head, studying him carefully. “Some international models—ambiguous gender, yet beautiful. Like you, a natural clothes hanger with good looks.”
“Does it feel awkward?”
“No, it suits you well.”
“Do I look good?”
“Yes.”
Luo Mingjing smiled. “Then it’s fine.”
After seasoning the soup and peeling vegetables, he finally set the knife down and went to ask Shi Min, “What did you bring?”
Shi Min sat on the new long sofa, her arm resting on the back. The box lay on Luo Mingjing’s newly added coffee table. She lowered her gaze and said, “Open it and see.”
Luo Mingjing knelt halfway down, unwrapping the light pink ribbon. He asked her, “This isn’t for me, is it?”
Shi Min nodded. “Correct.”
“Even wrapped in pink ribbon…” Luo Mingjing covered his face and chuckled softly. “Fine, pink it is.”
Just before opening the box, Luo Mingjing suddenly pressed down on it and looked up at Shi Min. “It’s not lingerie, is it?”
Shi Min crossed her legs, resting her chin on her hand, and smiled faintly. “I wouldn’t use such a big box just for underwear.”
Luo Mingjing slowly lifted the lid.
The studio fell silent, and time seemed to freeze.
“What is this?” He pointed at the contents of the box and asked softly.
“For you,” Shi Min sat up, resting her arms on her knees, smiling as she watched him. “Try it.”
“…A dress?”
“Yes.” After a pause, Shi Min asked, “Would it make you uncomfortable if I gave you a dress…?”
“No, not at all.” Luo Mingjing carefully took out the white evening gown. “…It just startled me earlier—the color.”
He had almost thought it was a wedding dress.
“Open the small box next to it,” Shi Min pointed to the dark blue velvet jewelry case.
Inside lay a pair of long tassel earrings, softly glowing with diamond-like brilliance.
“…Sister, tell me,” Luo Mingjing said. “When exactly do you expect me to wear this?”
“Whenever you feel like it. It doesn’t matter if you wear it or not,” Shi Min said. “I suddenly wanted to buy you a gown today. You look perfect for it. And a white dress… feels gentler, more fitting for you than black.”
Luo Mingjing slammed the table. “You watched my livestream, didn’t you?”
Shi Min smiled but didn’t respond.
Luo Mingjing said, “This is so embarrassing…”
Shi Min: “Sorry, but your blushing face is quite amusing. It’s clear you’re excited, yet you can’t let go… Don’t worry so much. Beauty knows no gender.”
Luo Mingjing placed a finger on her lips. “Shh—don’t say anymore. I’m shy.”
He calmed himself for a long moment, staring at the gown in the box, and sighed deeply.
“I never thought I’d walk down this path of crossdressing… Guess it’s experience for my future career…”
Hearing him mention his future career, Shi Min lowered her gaze in thought. Then, deciding not to pry further, she casually remarked, “As long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters.”
Luo Mingjing gazed at Shi Min’s perpetually calm face and suddenly felt a spark of mischief. He suggested, “Want to try something thrilling?”
Shi Min raised an eyebrow, skeptical that someone like him would propose anything daring.
Luo Mingjing lowered his voice and whispered, “Shi Min, let’s go on a date. In drag.”
After a brief moment of surprise, Shi Min burst into soft laughter. “You really are romantic.”
