Psst! We're moving!
Chen Fuyu recorded an apology video holding her ID card and wrote a very long apology letter. The rumors about Zhou Shuirong came to an end like this, but some people still pretended ignorance.
Why pretend ignorance? No reason, they just hated Zhou Shuirong. They just hated her. She didn’t do anything, yet she was hated.
Their own explanation was that it wasn’t jealousy, just hatred. Perhaps they themselves couldn’t distinguish whether this emotion towards Zhou Shuirong was jealousy, or perhaps they knew but simply refused to admit it.
Anyway, hatred was enough. Hatred meant they were blind, unable to see Chen Fuyu’s apology, or they believed Chen Fuyu was threatened by Zhou Shuirong.
When Zhou Shuirong saw the apology video, she wasn’t surprised. She thought she had accomplished it herself, until Chen Ziqian was sent to the juvenile detention center, and Chen Fuyu’s new boyfriend ran to the door of Class 16, cursing at Shen Tingwen: “Fuck you, Shen Tingwen! You went back on your word!”
The class was almost full, and everyone was stunned by this sudden attack, turning to look at Shen Tingwen.
Shen Tingwen showed no reaction, as if the insults weren’t directed at him. Actually, his indifference was correct, because a person who so brazenly cursed in someone else’s class was definitely going to get disciplined. There was no need for Shen Tingwen to give the dean’s office a double kill.
Sure enough, just after he had his fill of cursing, the grade director came up and took the person away.
Class 16 returned to its calm state.
Zhou Shuirong observed Shen Tingwen throughout. He actually showed no sign of nervousness or panic, which seemed to contradict his timid, useless persona. Also, what did that guy mean by “went back on his word”?

After morning self-study, Shen Tingwen needed to spray his wound and didn’t go to eat. Zhou Shuirong wasn’t hungry either and stayed in the classroom. At first, she watched Shen Tingwen’s clumsy movements for a while. Seeing he was genuinely struggling, she went over to help him.
“Thank you,” Shen Tingwen said.
Zhou Shuirong finished spraying the medicine for him and went back to rest her head on the desk, her demeanor somewhat cool.
Shen Tingwen thought she was tired and didn’t think much of it. He walked to her desk and asked if she wanted anything to eat. He was going to the supermarket and could get it for her on the way back.
Zhou Shuirong lay on the desk, opened her eyes, looked at him, and answered irrelevant to the question: “You use WeChat, but you don’t go online. Don’t you think that’s a bit contradictory?”
Shen Tingwen’s capability allowed him to easily handle such a question: “Isn’t the primary function of WeChat communication?”
This answer was very normal, something anyone could instinctively reply. It seemed Zhou Shuirong’s question should be met with this answer, but for some reason, Zhou Shuirong had an unfamiliar feeling.
Why did Chen Fuyu’s boyfriend say Shen Tingwen went back on his word? That must mean Shen Tingwen promised them he wouldn’t report Chen Ziqian, so in exchange, what did he want to get?
In other words, what could he get from Chen Fuyu?
Zhou Shuirong combined this with recent events and reasonably concluded it had something to do with her. This meant that Chen Fuyu’s apology video, holding her ID card, wasn’t because Liang Jifan had found her, but because Shen Tingwen had found her.
She hoped she was overthinking it, otherwise, she would slaughter Shen Tingwen and feed him to the dogs. The reason was simple: premeditated deception was an even greater offense.
Seeing that she didn’t want anything, Shen Tingwen went to the supermarket himself. He knew that with Chen Fuyu’s boyfriend coming to curse at him, Zhou Shuirong must have her suspicions. He wasn’t planning to remedy it. Anyway, with Zhou Shuirong’s intelligence, he couldn’t hide it for long.
He would figure out a solution when exposed. Compared to others, he had already gained an advantage through these underhanded means, and that was enough.
