Psst! We're moving!
On Friday, Zhou Shuirong returned to school. The dean called her in for another lecture, finally asking, “Did you remember?”
Zhou Shuirong hadn’t remembered: “Yes, I remembered.”
“One more time, and even if you’re an international student, we’ll deal with it accordingly. Don’t think we lack talent in our country; whether you’re here or not won’t make much difference. You may leave.”
As she walked out of the office, Zhao Guqing happened to be coming over to give the dean a lesson observation pass. She instinctively looked down when she saw Zhou Shuirong, then looked up and greeted her.
Zhou Shuirong nodded, saying nothing.

Downstairs, she ran into Zhou Xiyou and Li Gun again.
Zhou Xiyou saw her and asked Li Gun: “Do you know her?”
Li Gun had seen her and heard about her: “Zhou Shuirong.”
Zhou Xiyou nodded: “That’s her, my love rival.”
Li Gun didn’t respond.
Zhou Xiyou took the bottle of water she was holding for Li Gun back from his hand, walked towards Zhou Shuirong, and offered it to her: “I haven’t thanked you for saving me last time.”
Zhou Shuirong didn’t take it, nor did she speak.
Zhou Xiyou herself wasn’t the petite and cute type, but walking next to Zhou Shuirong, who was half a head taller, made her seem much more delicate. She wanted to invite her to eat: “Want to have dinner together after school?”
“No need.”
“Did ‘Shen Darling’ tell you about our relationship? We’re childhood sweethearts, even bathed together. Our families even arranged a childhood engagement for us. Who knew he’d look down on me when we grew up? Heh, men are all the same, not a single good one.”
Zhou Shuirong showed no reaction: “Does that concern me?”
Zhou Xiyou brought the conversation back on track: “Let me treat you to a meal, and I won’t bother you anymore after that.”
Zhou Shuirong didn’t stop walking: “Even without this meal, you won’t have a chance to bother me.”
Zhou Xiyou watched her walk up to the academic building, her retreating figure so carefree. She couldn’t learn that.
Li Gun followed her: “Stop looking.”
Zhou Xiyou handed the bottle of water back to him: “To say she has no manners... that doesn’t seem right. If I demanded she greet me with a smile, that would be a bit of moral blackmail. But honestly, I really don’t like her attitude; it’s too tough.”
Li Gun calmly analyzed: “She took you to the hospital and didn’t ask for anything in return. That alone makes her better than most people.”
Zhou Xiyou nodded: “Right. A bad attitude isn’t something to criticize, but not everyone thinks as clearly as you and I do. Do you believe me? She’ll suffer because of this attitude sooner or later.”
“Don’t worry about other people.”
Zhou Xiyou stopped worrying and linked her arm through his: “Okay! I won’t worry about others. Let’s worry about my new boyfriend.”
Li Gun blushed, removing her hand: “Don’t be like this at school.”
“Now you’re embarrassed? Why weren’t you embarrassed when you asked me to be your girlfriend the other day?” Zhou Xiyou teased him.
Li Gun’s face turned even redder, his ears too. He pursed his lips: “Zhou Xiyou!”
Zhou Xiyou laughed: “Present!”
Li Gun’s lips became a thin line: “Don’t go too far!”
“Alright, alright, I won’t say anything, okay?” Zhou Xiyou linked her arm through his again: “Since Zhou Shuirong won’t give face, how about we go for dinner tonight? Lobster and cake.”
“We’ll see tonight.”
“Okay, I’m calling to make a reservation now.”
“I said, ‘We’ll see tonight’!”
“Okay, it’s booked.” Zhou Xiyou shook her phone.
Li Gun regretted his hot-headed decision to make her his girlfriend. How could he handle such a boisterous girlfriend, and he couldn’t be harsh because she was sick... He truly shot himself in the foot.
