Psst! We're moving!
The car drove into Jian Shan Road, where a white Western-style house with red window frames stood prominently.
Bai Wenfu carried Ye Yun into the house. The crystal chandelier on the staircase was dazzlingly luxurious, and Ye Yun’s face was flushed, dizzy in his arms.
He didn’t turn on the lights. Ye Yun didn’t know where he had carried her, only feeling her back sink into a soft bed. In a haze, her lips were captured, and a strange sensation coursed through her body. Every breath came with an indescribable tremor.
She responded to his kiss with a passion and dependence he had never felt from her before. The floodgates of longing were torn open, uncontrollable.
He couldn’t restrain himself, lifting her skirt and untying that “leaf.” The spring scene beneath the fabric assaulted his vision: white straps hung on her collarbone, and thin, transparent georgette half-covered her, her captivating figure burning away Bai Wenfu’s restraint. His eyes were tinged with red as he shed his outer clothes, muscles bulging and hard, like an uninhibited invader.
Ye Yun’s eyes were filled with affection. She propped herself up on her arms, her flushed, slightly tipsy face alluring to the bone. “Do you like it? Sister Hong said men all like it when they see it.”
He pinched the back of her neck, pulling her close to his eyes, his Adam’s apple slowly bobbing. “Have you shown it to anyone else?”
“If I had, would you not touch me?”
He didn’t speak, his eyes sharp. His warm breath drifted across her neck. Her leg was lifted, and the moment he brought his hips down heavily, her heart leaped, and she almost cried out.
“No.”
The memories of past madness slowly returned to her consciousness. Before he could unleash the terrifying beast within him, she confessed freely.
“I haven’t been with anyone else.”
He could feel it; her body didn’t lie. She was still like an untouched girl, gripping him, making his scalp tingle, almost making him lose control on her.
He lowered his head and bit her lip. “Did you miss me?”
Just a few gentle movements, and she was overcome with emotion, her delicate eyes glistening with tears. She arched her soft body, her voice tipsy and coquettish, “More.”
She had no idea how lethal those two words were.
The smile on Bai Wenfu’s lips spread, followed by a thunderous passion and a sweeping wave of heat.
The long-suppressed desire in his heart was instantly stirred by the captivating sounds he had dreamed of. He lost control, releasing his strength, and the whole world seemed to tremble.
Ye Yun’s thoughts were a tangled mess, rising and falling with him. She had lost count of how many times, and the mattress beneath them was soaked.
He simply picked her up and pressed her against a mirror. Ye Yun leaned on the wooden vanity, her body suddenly tipping forward. Her waist was held by his arm, and she was forced to look at her own alluring and disheveled reflection in the mirror, sobering up considerably.
The intense soreness made her unable to stand. Her body slid down in front of the mirror, her hands gripping the carved wooden edge. The object in front of her began to feel increasingly familiar, as if she had seen it somewhere before.
A scene flashed through her mind, and she instantly remembered. This was the rosewood dressing mirror she had liked at the registration site, which was later bought at a high price. She had even felt a sense of regret at the time.
Ye Yun briefly pulled herself away from their intimate moment, her words fragmented. “How... how is this here?”
Bai Wenfu’s chest pressed against her. She was encircled in his embrace, the scene in the mirror appearing seductive.
His breath was in her ear. “Didn’t you want it? Anything you want, I’ll give it to you.”
He looked at her enchanting face in the mirror, his gaze entangled on her. “You’re still so beautiful. I’m not young anymore, don’t leave again.”
He lowered his head, burying his face in her neck, inhaling her subtly sweet scent, his voice hoarse. “Promise me.”
The year Ye Yun left him, he was already thirty, an age when one should be settled with a family and career. He had drifted until now, several years passing by in an instant, a fleeting moment in the grand scheme of things.
In that instant, a feeling of aching warmth filled her chest, and Ye Yun’s eyes reddened.
“Wenfu.”
He lifted his gaze. In the mirror, her tender, watery eyes were like a dream tinged with misty rain, her longing transforming into an obsession.
“I’ll have your baby.”
Her impassioned voice was like a drop of water falling into a long-parched desert, awakening all the tenderness in the world.
His heart ignited uncontrollably, and he enveloped her with a gaze full of doting affection. In the mirror, only lingering shadows remained.

By the time Bai Wenfu carried Ye Yun to another room, she was so soft she felt boneless. Her body sank into the clean bedding, and she closed her eyes, not wanting to move. Yet, Bai Wenfu kept picking up her arms, then catching her ankles, continuously adjusting her.
Ye Yun became annoyed and mumbled, “Don’t touch me.”
Bai Wenfu leaned over, pinched her flushed cheek, and a slight smirk played on his lips. “You’re satisfied enough that you won’t let me touch you anymore?”
She purred softly, “Let me sleep.”
He coaxed her, “Let’s clean you up, then you can sleep comfortably.”
Ye Yun hadn’t experienced such intense stimulation in a long time. Her body felt like a grand fireworks display continually exploding, the brilliant, near-death feeling quickly exhausting her, and she lost consciousness.
When she woke up again, it was already bright daylight outside. Light streamed into the room through the curtains. She experienced a brief moment of disorientation, looking at the unfamiliar surroundings, and she sat up sharply in bed, startled. It took her a while for her consciousness to gradually return.
Bai Wenfu had an appointment to discuss business that morning and specifically turned down a lunch invitation to rush back, only to be greeted by an empty house.
He had only been out for an hour. The woman who had sworn the night before that she wouldn’t leave again was gone, not even a single strand of hair left behind.

Ye Yun went straight to the factory after leaving Jian Shan Road. A meeting was scheduled for that morning, and everyone was waiting for the results of her discussion with Editor Tao last night. However, she was late.
As soon as she entered the office, Zhou Zeyang and Ma Jianliang’s gazes fell on her. Ye Yun pretended to be calm as she took her seat.
“I was delayed.”
She briefly explained the situation from last night. Zhou Zeyang listened calmly, and after she finished, he leisurely asked, “Xiaofu said you left with Boss Bai after you finished last night. Is everything alright?”
Ye Yun lowered her eyes and pulled at her collar. “Yes, fine.”
Although the ruffled collar could cover her neck, she knew there were marks of their passion underneath, making her feel somewhat unnatural.
“That’s good then.”
With that, they didn’t ask further questions.
Mr. Yu’s goods were due to arrive tomorrow at noon, and the factory had been busy clearing out inventory to prepare for the delivery. Ye Yun had been entangled with Bai Wenfu until late last night and hadn’t slept much. After working all day, she went home and rested.

When Ying An opened the shop this morning, two black sedans were parked outside. She peered into a car window, and it suddenly rolled down, startling her. Then, she recognized the person sitting inside: it was Mr. Bai, who had been there before.
Ma Jianliang happened to come out of the shop. Bai Wenfu opened the car door and stepped out, looking at him. “I’m looking for Xiao Yun.”
Ying An heard Mr. Bai address Sister Xiao Ye that way and was momentarily confused, looking at Boss Ma.
Ma Jianliang told Bai Wenfu, “She worked late yesterday and isn’t up yet. If it’s urgent, I can go up and call her.”
“No need, let her sleep in. I’ll wait.”
Ma Jianliang glanced at him. “Then come inside and wait.”
Bai Wenfu walked into the shop, his gaze lingering on Ying An for a moment. He asked her, “What’s your relationship with Fang Lizhen?”
Ying An looked slightly surprised. “You know my aunt?”
Bai Wenfu’s brows furrowed slightly, but he didn’t explain further.
That year, when Ye Yun wanted to leave Erwei Alley, he knew it in his heart, but he didn’t expect her to leave so completely. She came to the city from Qingxi Village, and her social circle was small. He inquired about everyone he could find.
He hadn’t been without suspicion of Fang Lizhen. Fang Lizhen was Ye Yun’s last customer before she left, and coincidentally, during that time, Fang Lizhen had also left her home.
After that, Bai Wenfu found excuses to invite Fang Lizhen to a restaurant twice, subtly asking her about Ye Yun’s whereabouts. Fang Lizhen, of course, knew Bai Wenfu’s intentions and had prepared her answers before the appointments. She was good at holding her liquor and remained composed no matter how much she drank. Bai Wenfu observed her twice but gained nothing, gradually dispelling his doubts.
When Bai Wenfu visited last time, he noticed the jade Ruyi pendant around Ying An’s neck. A few years ago, when he invited Fang Lizhen to dinner, this same jade Ruyi was still around Fang Lizhen’s neck. Now, it was on her niece, indicating that Fang Lizhen had visited Shanghai and had seen Ye Yun in recent years.
As Bai Wenfu lowered his gaze, his expression slightly darkened.

Ma Jianliang invited Bai Wenfu to the second floor. Ye Yun’s room door was closed. On the stove in the kitchen, millet porridge was simmering, making a soft “du du” sound that filled the air, and the room was fragrant with the smell of rice.
Although he knew Ye Yun had never been romantically involved with Ma Jianliang, seeing her living with another man still made him uncomfortable.
Last time Bai Wenfu visited, Ma Jianliang had given him a cold reception, worried that he might come to bother Ye Yun and disrupt the stable life she had finally built.
Yesterday morning, as soon as Ye Yun walked into the office, he and Zhou Zeyang noticed something different. Although Ye Yun acted as if everything was normal, her flushed complexion and the sparkle in her eyes didn’t lie.
Since Ye Yun still had feelings for the man in front of him, Ma Jianliang felt there was no need to be confrontational with Bai Wenfu. He put aside his prejudice and asked Bai Wenfu if he had eaten, then served him a bowl of millet porridge and handed him a pair of chopsticks.
Ma Jianliang’s gesture softened Bai Wenfu’s displeasure somewhat. He never imagined that he would one day sit at the same table as this man named Ma, eating breakfast. Although the scene was a bit absurd, Ma Jianliang had already placed the bowl in front of him, and it would seem petty for Bai Wenfu not to accept it.
The two men sat facing each other. Bai Wenfu put down his chopsticks and asked, “Did Xiao Yun come here with Fang Lizhen originally?”
Ma Jianliang said, “I believe so.”
“How has she been since she arrived here?”
Ma Jianliang paused, then told him, “Xiao Ye didn’t contact me when she first came here. I later heard from Ying An that her mother’s friends liked the clothes Xiao Ye made for Fang Lizhen. It just so happened that Xiao Ye was looking for a storefront at that time. That’s how she came into contact with Ying An’s mother, who is also Fang Lizhen’s elder sister. Later, Sister Fang agreed to rent a small several-square-meter shop to Xiao Ye.
At that time, Xiao Ye only had enough money to buy some basic tools, so she discussed paying rent monthly with Sister Fang.
In other words, she had to earn enough for rent every month, otherwise, the tailor shop could face closure for not being able to pay rent the following month. At that time, she said she didn’t have a single night of peaceful sleep.”
Bai Wenfu’s brows furrowed slightly. Ma Jianliang turned to pour him a glass of water. Bai Wenfu gripped the cup, his knuckles turning white.
