Psst! We're moving!
When Su Ling woke up, the sunlight was streaming into the villa.
The soft, warm yellow light bathed her body. She had slept soundly and peacefully.
Su Ling sat up on the bed. It was May, the transitional period between spring and summer, and outside the villa, birds were chirping merrily.
The bedsheets were pure black, and her pajama dress reached just above her thighs, leaving her calves exposed—long, slender, and fair. A purple anklet shimmered faintly around her delicate ankle, adding an air of decadent allure. As she slipped on her slippers, her mind felt hazy and confused.
For a moment, time felt unreal.
Following her memory, Su Ling descended the stairs. Just then, Qin Xiao walked in through the door. Hearing her footsteps, his pupils instinctively contracted. He looked up at the young girl standing on the spiral staircase.
She timidly glanced at him: “Mr. Qin...”
A flicker of surprise passed through Qin Xiao’s eyes. After a brief pause, he responded calmly: “Mm.”
Su Ling clutched the handrail tightly, too afraid to descend. Her gaze was both unfamiliar and tinged with fear. Her other hand gripped the hem of her pajama dress until Qin Xiao said: “Come down.”
Only then did she hesitantly walk down the stairs and approach him.
Qin Xiao loosened his tie and looked down at her from above. She lowered her head like a lamb awaiting slaughter.
There wasn’t an ounce of defiance in her—she was impossibly soft.
Qin Xiao’s lips curved almost imperceptibly.
He sat down on the sofa and patted his lap.
Qin Xiao stared at her unblinkingly. Summoning her courage as if facing martyrdom, she steeled herself and sat on his lap.
Her warmth enveloped him entirely, and he slightly narrowed his eyes. He was somewhat surprised by their original dynamic—it seemed she had been incredibly obedient.
Qin Xiao tentatively reached out to touch her cheek. She frowned uncomfortably but didn’t dare pull away.
From this, Qin Xiao could roughly guess her current situation.
His fingers gently traced her brows and eyes, and he asked softly: “What did you do at home today, hmm?”
She furrowed her brows in confusion and replied softly: “I don’t think I did much... I just woke up from a nap and feel a bit disoriented.”
Qin Xiao wrapped his hand around her waist, captivated by her impossibly soft touch, which stirred something deep within him.
After a moment of thought, Su Ling timidly requested: “Mr. Qin, when can I go back to see my grandmother?”
Qin Xiao remained calm: “Soon. Your grandmother has just undergone surgery and is resting. I’ve stationed people there. The doctor advised against any disturbances.”
He estimated the timeline and lied smoothly, already calculating rapidly in his mind. So when Su Ling first came to “him,” her grandmother hadn’t yet passed away—she had just undergone surgery.
Sure enough, Su Ling didn’t suspect anything. Disappointed, she let out a soft “Oh” and politely thanked him: “Thank you, Mr. Qin.”
Damn, she’s so obedient. How could she be this obedient?
Amusement danced in his eyes as he tenderly replied: “You’re welcome.”
She seemed to find him less frightening, and her expression relaxed slightly. Qin Xiao swallowed hard, stood up abruptly, and Su Ling, still sitting on his lap, panicked and wrapped her legs tightly around his lean waist, clutching his neck.
Qin Xiao chuckled softly, holding her securely, and carried her to the kitchen in this position: “What would you like to eat?”
Feeling awkward, Su Ling stammered: “Let me get down and walk. Please let me go first.”
Her full chest pressed against him, igniting a mix of pleasure and restlessness. Afraid he might lose control, he set her down. Then he said: “Aunt Ding has some matters to attend to for now and won’t be coming. I’ll take care of you.”
Su Ling stole a glance at him: “Do you know how to cook?”
Qin Xiao’s expression froze for a moment before he calmly replied: “Yes. Just sit there and wait. You’ll have your meal soon.”
Su Ling didn’t quite believe him. In her memory, this domineering man hadn’t entered the kitchen even once after bringing her home.
Qin Xiao stared at her feet for a while, swallowing hard.
Then he turned away, unable to look anymore: “Go put on your socks.”
Su Ling was momentarily stunned, uncertain: “But you said that I’m not allowed to wear socks at home, or you’d get angry.”
“...” Heh.
Qin Xiao decided to let loose since he wanted to see anyway: “Then don’t wear them. What do you want to eat?”
The kitchen was well-stocked with vegetables and meat. Su Ling glanced around: “Lettuce?”
It was relatively simple since it could be eaten raw.
“Alright.”
However, a short while later, Qin Xiao washed his hands and stepped out coldly. Su Ling quickly stood up: “Mr. Qin, what would you like to eat? Let me prepare it.”
Qin Xiao smirked: “No need.”
He called a restaurant to deliver food, and soon there were five dishes and a soup on the table.
The two sat across from each other and ate.
Qin Xiao noticed Su Ling’s restraint. She was naturally diligent and immediately started clearing the dishes after finishing her meal.
Qin Xiao grabbed her hand: “Don’t touch those. A housekeeper will come later.”
She nodded.
Qin Xiao said: “Go take a nap.”
Su Ling stiffened instantly, lowering her head and replying softly: “I just woke up. I’m not sleepy.”
Qin Xiao laughed, unrestrained and bold: “I’m sleepy. Keep me company.”
Thinking about Qin Xiao’s insatiable demands from the past few days, her face turned pale.
“Mr. Qin, it’s not good to sleep right after eating.”
Hearing her call him “Mr. Qin” felt novel to him. Her demeanor clearly showed she was afraid he might do something, but Qin Xiao didn’t dare either. After all, whether it was the first time or not, she’d know if she felt pain, and things would get suspicious.
Afraid of breaking character by changing too abruptly, Qin Xiao’s expression turned cold: “Oh?”
Su Ling dared not speak further.
He stroked her hair: “In a few days, I’ll take you back to your hometown, okay?”
The unexpected joy made her eyes sparkle. Her excitement flushed her cheeks red. Returning home after entering Qin Xiao’s villa wasn’t easy.
Su Ling blinked, her lively and adorable demeanor shining through: “Okay!”
“Lift your head.”
She raised her head, and Qin Xiao tilted her chin, pressing his lips onto hers. His fiery lips moved against hers, lingering passionately. Su Ling trembled slightly, but he didn’t intend to let her go until she was almost out of breath. She lightly pushed against his chest, and only then did he release her, breathing heavily against her neck.
The subtle fragrance of the young girl intoxicated him.
She was so obedient that Qin Xiao felt like devouring her whole. He sighed contentedly, his heart softening as he carried her to take a nap.
He was indeed exhausted. Over the past few days, he had put aside everything from work and meticulously arranged everything—it had to be flawless.
He didn’t touch her but held her possessively in his arms.
Su Ling felt a bit uncomfortable, but she knew Qin Xiao’s habits and temperament. Seeing that he had truly fallen asleep, she breathed a sigh of relief and quietly observed him. His brows carried a faint trace of fatigue—he must have been very tired.
Su Ling wasn’t sleepy; she had just woken up not long ago. So she let her eyes wander around the room.
She noticed slight differences. The bedroom seemed colder somehow? There were no potted plants on the table, and decorations were sparse. She remembered asking Aunt Ding to bring over a small succulent plant, but now it was gone. Where did it go? Did Mr. Qin dislike it and throw it away?
Su Ling looked at the table, where a calendar lay.
It read: May 26, 2013.
She blinked, feeling confused but unable to pinpoint what was off.
The man’s breath mingled with hers. Su Ling turned her face away, avoiding his presence.
She wasn’t used to sleeping with someone else. She had known Qin Xiao for such a short time and didn’t understand why he liked her. When they had relations, she was heartbroken and frightened—it was with a stranger, after all.
But he had saved her grandmother, and for that, she was grateful.
He seemed to have a terrible temper. Su Ling had occasionally seen him scold his subordinates, his face cold and merciless.
He wasn’t particularly warm toward Aunt Ding either.
Unable to sleep, she wondered how long his affection for her would last and when he’d let her return home. She hoped that day would come soon. Su Ling also thought about whether she could return to school. She wanted to go back, but the gossip was too hurtful. If she did return, she’d have to be stronger.
Su Ling thought about many things, and finally, Qin Xiao woke up.
He had only slept for an hour and now needed to return to work.
His hand slipped under her shirt, and Su Ling, blushing fiercely, pressed down on his hand: “Mr. Qin... please, no more.”
“I’ll just touch you, okay?”
Thinking about his boldness from the past few days, Su Ling’s eyes brimmed with shyness and apprehension. She bit her lip and looked at him pleadingly.
Qin Xiao chuckled softly, finding it amusing.
Years later, she would know how enticing this action was, but now, disoriented and unable to distinguish the present from the past, she was as pure as a blank sheet of paper.
Fortunately, she was obedient.
Hearing him say he’d only touch her briefly, she felt both wronged and hesitant. She confirmed: “Really... not going to do anything else, right?”
He couldn’t help but laugh, echoing her words: “Mm, nothing else.”
She released his hand, closed her eyes, and braced herself as if preparing for sacrifice.
With her eyes closed, the sensations became clearer. His hand moved upward along her navel, gradually intensifying its movements. He was deeply aroused.
He ravaged her body, and Su Ling heard his breathing grow heavier. Trembling slightly, she opened her tear-filled eyes and silently accused him of being a liar.
Excitement tinged his gaze, and seeing her wide eyes made him feel electric.
He really wanted to die inside her.
But he didn’t dare go all the way.
His voice hoarse, he murmured, “Lingling.”
She didn’t dare respond.
“Tell me you love me, okay?”
For a fleeting moment, she felt the familiarity of those words. But she instinctively clenched her mouth shut and refused to say them.
Qin Xiao pulled her nightgown down, his tone slightly hoarse as he restrained himself: “Don’t leave me.”
She could agree to this: “We have an agreement, Mr. Qin.”
Qin Xiao didn’t know what agreement they had, but he didn’t dare continue. That sentence could come later—he had plenty of time.
He got up and dressed: “I’m leaving. If you need anything, call me. The phone number is written next to the landline.”
Su Ling wasn’t one to cling to her phone, but at this moment, she couldn’t help but ask in confusion: “Eh, where’s my phone?”
Qin Xiao paused while fastening his belt, then resumed nonchalantly: “I accidentally spilled water on your phone. I’ll buy you a new one another day. I plan to replace the TV and computer in the house in a few days. If you’re bored, you can go out for a walk. I’ve hired a pottery master and a gardener to come here. You can also visit the art studio, dance studio, music room, or library.”
Su Ling nodded: “Okay, thank you.”
Qin Xiao stepped out, beckoning her over. Smiling warmly, he caressed her cheek with his thumb, feeling an unprecedented sense of satisfaction.
From the bag he had brought earlier, Qin Xiao took out her socks, knelt down, and let her steady herself against him.
Su Ling felt extremely awkward. This proud man kneeling to put on her socks made her both shy and flustered: “Mr. Qin, I can do it myself.”
“Be good. Don’t move.”
For him, this was a kind of temptation and enjoyment. Qin Xiao carefully put on her socks, reluctant to leave.
He finally understood the feeling of keeping a beauty hidden in a golden cage.
Every second made him feel that even bankruptcy wouldn’t matter.
He smiled: “My darling, I’m going to earn money and take care of you.”
Su Ling’s cheeks flushed red: “Mr. Qin... please don’t talk like that.”
“Alright. Stay home and behave, okay? In a few days, you can go wherever you want.”
She nodded: “Okay.”
His heart nearly melted, but he forced himself to leave. Outside the villa, a row of stern bodyguards awaited him, causing his warm expression to turn cold. Yes, all of this had been obtained through despicable means.
She mustn’t discover it. She can’t.
Qin Xiao walked out, loosening his tie to relieve the suffocating feeling. He instructed them: “Keep a close watch on her. No one is allowed to enter or leave. Don’t scare her.”
They quickly agreed.
After Qin Xiao left, Su Ling discovered that there were indeed no communication devices left in the villa.
The TV and computer were still new, but Mr. Qin said they would be replaced. She didn’t fully understand, but since Mr. Qin was the owner, she couldn’t interfere with his decisions.
In the afternoon, the hourly housekeeper arrived—an older woman.
Su Ling originally intended to help her with some chores, but the woman recoiled in alarm: “Madam, please don’t touch these. I’ll handle it.”
Su Ling could only talk to her, but the woman was extremely guarded, as if speaking an extra word to Su Ling posed a danger.
Su Ling thought that perhaps the woman was introverted, so she didn’t push her. Deciding to step out for some fresh air, she remembered that Qin Xiao had allowed her to explore the villa grounds.
However, the moment she stepped outside the villa, she froze.
The entrance was surrounded by over ten bodyguards.
As she approached, their bodies tensed completely.
The leader smiled: “Madam, it’s a bit unstable lately. Please understand.”
