Psst! We're moving!
The night wind in late autumn was cool. Wen Siyu stood on the second-floor balcony, dazed, with a coat draped over her shoulders.
Her hair was messy and wet. She blinked at him, smiling foolishly. She took two steps forward and leaned over the balcony railing, her body reaching downwards.
Jiang Xu quickly hung up the phone and took two steps forward, frowning with outstretched arms. “Get back a little, it’s dangerous.”
Wen Siyu didn’t care. “I want a bamboo dragonfly.”
Jiang Xu raised an eyebrow.
“That way I can fly straight down.” The little girl smiled and leaned out further. “I don’t want to take my eyes off you for even a second.”
Jiang Xu’s ears quietly turned red.
But his expression was still a bit fierce. “Come down quickly, no one will catch you if you fall.”
Wen Siyu said “Oh.”
After she finished speaking, her gaze lowered and she looked down. Although the second floor wasn’t high, looking down still made her feel a little dizzy.
Wen Siyu’s dormitory balcony wasn’t high. She put her phone in her pocket, supported herself on the edge of the balcony with both hands, used her arms to lift herself up, hooked her right leg over, and swung her body, just like playing on the horizontal bar when she was little, and sat down.
She sat on the edge of the balcony, looking down at Jiang Xu below.
The man called her full name with a strong warning tone, but he took two more steps forward, his arms open, very close to her.
“Looking at it this way, our dormitory building frame is quite low.” Wen Siyu blinked.
Jiang Xu’s face was tense. “You’re just asking for trouble, aren’t you?”
She giggled. “I’ll count to three.”
“One.”
“Two.”
“Three.”
Although she was the one actively causing trouble, she was actually very scared. Wen Siyu closed her eyes tightly, slid her butt down, and jumped.
There was wind in her ears, and below was his embrace.
With a muffled thud, her chin hit something hard, and she was held tightly in a strong embrace.
Wen Siyu opened her eyes and looked down. Jiang Xu supported her buttocks with one hand and her back with the other, looking up at her expressionlessly, his gaze very cold.
He was going to be angry.
The little girl’s eyes curved into crescents as she looked down from her higher position, cupped the man’s face in her hands, stared at his tightly pursed lips, and leaned down to kiss him.
His lips were soft, unlike usual, a little icy.
She stuck out her little tongue and licked them, warming them up.
The man let her swim over like a fish, hook him, pull him in, and then bit her hard.
Wen Siyu made a soft “hmm” sound and looked up, accusing him pitifully, “Why do you always bite people?”
Jiang Xu hugged her tighter and his voice was low and husky. “Why are you always so disobedient?”
Wen Siyu jumped out of his arms, smiling as she took his hand in hers and looked up. “Because I trust you.”
Once she acted coquettishly, all his anger vanished.
Sighing, Jiang Xu looked at the girl’s still wet hair and put the hood of her coat on her.
Looking down, the little girl’s head was covered by the coat’s hood, leaving only a strip of her pale face exposed, her big eyes bright and her lips moist.
Jiang Xu narrowed his eyes, pulled the edges of the hood, drew her closer, leaned down, and kissed her.
Enveloped in the hood, Wen Siyu tilted her head back and opened her mouth, obediently letting him take control, silently beginning to suspect that Teacher Jiang was a kissing maniac.
The kissing maniac released her with lingering desire, his eyes hidden in the shadows, dark and deep.
Wen Siyu breathed heavily. “Why aren’t you wearing a mask? What if someone sees you?”
“I felt like you were about to cry.”
Wen Siyu didn’t react.
“Just now on the phone, you sounded a little sad, like you were afraid you’d cry as soon as I hung up. I was in a hurry to come over and forgot to wear it,” Jiang Xu explained patiently as he pulled her into his arms.
Wen Siyu’s eyes welled up with tears, and she hugged him back. “Then how did you know which building my dormitory is in?”
The man was silent for a moment. “I committed treason for my girlfriend.”
“...”
Wen Siyu didn’t understand again and made an “eh” sound.
“I asked my rival in love.”
Wen Siyu: “...”
After a pause, Jiang Xu pushed her away again, looking at her expressionlessly as he questioned, “That guy surnamed Yuan, why would he know which building your dormitory is in?”
Wen Siyu: “...”
“You climbed over the wall,” Jiang Xu accused, his tone sounding a little aggrieved.
“You’re entangled with other men behind my back.”
Wen Siyu: “...”
The next day, Wen Siyuan arrived early. Wen Siyu had just returned to her dormitory after her last morning class when she received his call.
“Where are you?”
Wen Siyu threw her books on the table. “I’m in the dormitory, just finished class.”
Wen Siyuan said “Oh.” “I’m waiting for you at your school gate.”
Wen Siyu simply picked out a few pieces of clothing, packed them, and dragged her suitcase towards the school gate. As soon as she walked over, she saw Wen Siyuan leaning against the car door with his flamboyant long legs crossed, looking at his watch with his arms folded.
Wen Siyu walked over with a blank face. When the man saw her obviously unhappy expression, he was amused instead, the corners of his mouth curving up, quite pleased. “Yo, what’s wrong with our little princess? Unhappy?” He took the suitcase from the little girl’s hand and put it in the trunk, his expression mischievous.
“Go away,” Wen Siyu didn’t want to pay attention to him, directly opened the car door and sat inside, closing her eyes as if to nap.
Wen Siyuan happily got into the driver’s seat, looking at her with satisfaction. “I heard Film Emperor Jiang is quite busy, preparing to take on a new role.”
Wen Siyu hummed twice, not even opening her eyes.
“The director doesn’t seem willing to take him, saying he’s not qualified.” Wen Siyuan started the car, his mouth not stopping. “You two haven’t seen each other for a long time, right? Oh dear, my sister is so pitiful.”
This time, the little girl in the passenger seat finally had a reaction.
“Not willing to take him?” Wen Siyu looked at him, raising an eyebrow.
“That’s right.” Wen Siyuan turned the steering wheel. “Said your Teacher Jiang is not qualified and refused to accept him.”
“You can even make up such lies to provoke our relationship now.” Wen Siyu sneered. “When did you become so knowledgeable about the entertainment industry?”
Wen Siyuan gave her a meaningful look.
The little girl looked at him warily. “What?”
“Ms. Xu’s drama.” Wen Siyuan said slowly.
Wen Siyu’s face stiffened.
Wen Siyuan always drove very fast. It was only a little after one o’clock when they arrived home. Wen Siyu hadn’t eaten lunch, only drank two boxes of milk in the car. Hungry enough for her front to stick to her back, she rushed into the house and saw Wen Jingyao sitting on the living room sofa reading a fashion magazine.
“Dad!” Wen Siyu ran over and hugged his neck from behind the sofa, smiling happily. “Why didn’t you tell me you were coming back! My brother only told me yesterday!”
Wen Jingyao was startled by her and glared at her. “Your brother said you have a boyfriend?”
Wen Siyu: “...”
The little girl’s smile collapsed, and she pouted. “You only care about this as soon as you see me.”
Wen Jingyao flipped through the magazine. “Where is he from? How old? Is he studying or working? What do his family members do?”
Wen Siyu instantly looked serious, raised her hand, and swore, “His family background is clean, he’s rigorous, reliable, mature, and stable, he has a good job, and there’s no history of illness in his family for three generations.”
Just then, Wen Siyuan parked the car and came in. Hearing her words, he scoffed. “You know him well. You don’t even need to count back three generations in his family; you can call his father’s generation ‘grandfather’.”
Wen Jingyao raised an eyebrow.
Wen Siyu: “...”
She really wanted to beat him to death.
Fortunately, the head of the family didn’t say anything and returned his gaze to the magazine, slowly flipping through it. “Get ready, have dinner with me tonight.”
Wen Siyu sat on the sofa peeling an orange, minding her own business, and chimed in gleefully, “Did you hear that, Student Wen Siyuan? Prepare yourself well.”
Wen Jingyao glanced at her lightly. “I’m talking to you.”
Wen Siyu: “???”
“I don’t want to go. I don’t know how to deal with you evil capitalists.” The little girl was very resistant to officialdom.
“No, go for me.” The head of the family refused without any room for negotiation. “You don’t need to talk, just shut up and eat.”
After a pause, he used his trump card. “No allowance if you don’t go.”
Wen Siyu: “...”
“No living expenses either. I heard your livestreams are quite profitable, enough to buy an apartment, right? What else do you want?”
Wen Siyu: “...”
Forced melons are not sweet. The result of hegemony was that the little girl still looked unhappy even after putting on a formal dress and getting into the car unwillingly that night.
Wen Siyuan, wearing casual clothes and feeling quite pleased, closed the car door for her and leaned against the car window, maliciously instructing, “Have fun, little sister.”
Wen Siyu looked at him expressionlessly, grinding her teeth.
The car drove all the way to the entrance of a hotel that was so dazzling it hurt the eyes to look at. Wen Siyu got out of the car, took Wen Jingyao’s arm, adjusted her facial expression, and walked in.
Outside was magnificent, the crystal lamps dazzling her eyes. Inside, it was a scene of fragrant clothes and beautiful women, a sweep of the eyes revealing slender waists, long legs, and champagne glasses everywhere.
In the main hall of the banquet hall, near the entrance, stood a man.
Wearing a white suit, with a slender waist, long legs, and an inverted triangle physique, his handsome profile looked familiar no matter how you looked at it.
The man turned around, revealing his face, and Wen Siyu was stunned.
His gaze shifted and met hers, and he was also stunned.
The corners of Wen Siyu’s lips curved up, amused.
She didn’t expect to run into an acquaintance here.
