Psst! We're moving!
—— The Diary of a Little Tyrant
Tang Xin felt her heart sink at his words, but he hadn’t answered whether he wanted to or not. Unwilling to let it go, she stubbornly shot back: “Is there a problem? I think you’re good-looking, so what if I want to sleep with you? I even want to sleep with Pengzhou.”
Pengzhou, the currently popular young actor, handsome, well-built, and talented.
Tang Yu: “….”
He turned his face away, took a deep breath, and was clearly furious.
A few seconds passed.
As if suddenly struck by a thought, he half-closed his eyes, turned back to her with a raised brow, and looked down at her with a mischievous smirk. “You suddenly ask this—what, do you have needs tonight?”
“…”
Tang Xin’s face immediately flushed red. Furious and embarrassed, she grabbed a pillow and threw it at him, stomping her feet in anger. “I don’t need your sister! Who the hell cares about you! Three-legged men are everywhere!”
“…”
Tang Yu’s face darkened instantly.
Without wearing slippers, Tang Xin pushed him toward the door barefoot, her face red as she shouted, “Go back to your place! Stop appearing in front of me!”
In her anger, she exerted more strength than usual. Tang Yu was pushed back two steps, his heels hitting the sofa leg to steady himself. He placed his hand on her lower back, and no matter how hard she pushed, he wouldn’t budge. After a few failed attempts, Tang Xin glared up at him.
Tang Yu looked down at her with narrowed eyes, then suddenly pinched her cheek affectionately. Staring seriously into her eyes, he said, “Tang Xin, I’m sincerely pursuing you now. If you nod, you’ll have a boyfriend.”
“…”
“If you date me, you can have whatever you want.” His fingers slid down unexpectedly, gripping her chin and tilting it upward. The man’s dark eyes were intense, his Adam’s apple bobbing visibly. “As for whether I want to sleep with you, after you become my girlfriend, you can touch me a little to test if I want to or not.”
“…”
Tang Xin’s cheeks turned crimson, her heart pounding wildly, almost bursting out of her chest.
When this man got flirtatious, no one could resist him.
Tang Yu released her chin, shoved his hands into his pockets, and gave a faint smirk. “However, the process can’t be rushed.”
“…”
She froze for a moment, automatically interpreting that they had to take things step by step; they hadn’t reached the eighth stage yet.
The young girl fell silent for a few seconds, then suddenly turned around, sat on the sofa, grabbed a bag of daily nuts from the coffee table, tore it open, and started popping them into her mouth one by one without looking at him. “You can go home. You’ve been here for half an hour already.”
They had agreed beforehand that he could only stay for half an hour each day.
Tang Yu watched her munching on snacks like a robotic cat and couldn’t help but chuckle helplessly. “I’ll leave tomorrow morning. Think about it carefully over the next few days.”
She continued eating.
Tang Yu ruffled her hair and left.
After Tang Yu left, Tang Xin flopped onto the sofa, staring blankly at the ceiling, her mind a mess. She felt that Tang Dingding had caused her a lot of trouble. If she hadn’t told her about this extreme preference, she might have already fallen for him.
Then again, perhaps You Huan was right—maybe if she tried seducing Tang Yu, she might find out?
People always fear the unknown.
She didn’t know whether becoming Tang Yu’s girlfriend would make him fall deeper in love or realize they weren’t compatible, slowly losing interest and eventually breaking up. Earlier, she had even considered asking him directly.
But once she opened her mouth, it would feel like she was forcing him to make a commitment.
“You must stay with me forever and never break up—I’ll only agree to you then.”
Even high school students probably wouldn’t ask such a question, let alone an adult.
Tang Xin suddenly felt that she wasn’t some little tyrant.
She was an ostrich.
In front of Tang Yu, she was an insecure and sensitive little ostrich who didn’t even dare to date him.
On the other side, after Tang Yu returned home, he didn’t know if it was because the air conditioner wasn’t on, but he felt unusually hot. Frowning, he undid his shirt buttons as he walked into the bathroom and took a cold shower to calm his restlessness.
After finishing his shower, he stepped out of the bathroom, feeling refreshed.
But the image of the young girl with her fair, innocent face bluntly asking, “Tang Yu, do you want to sleep with me?” lingered in his mind like a nightmare, haunting him all night.
Early in the morning, before dawn, the fully blackout curtains made the bedroom pitch dark. The man covered his face with his hand, breathing heavily. A minute later, he got out of bed with a dark expression and headed to the bathroom.
Crazy.
Absolutely crazy.

The next evening, Tang Xin found time to visit Zhong Yan. 500,000 yuan wasn’t a small amount, so she couldn’t just hand it over without asking questions.
Zhong Yan returned from school after nine o’clock. After Tang Xin went upstairs with her, she glanced at the two-bedroom apartment. It was clear that Zhong Yan had put a lot of effort into renovating it; the entire place looked brand new, likely costing around 100,000 yuan.
Turning to Zhong Yan, Tang Xin asked, “Where is he?”
Zhong Yan whispered, “He’s still at the shop.”
Zhong Yan’s boyfriend was named Zhou Yang. The name sounded refined, and at twenty-four years old, he was quite handsome. He ran a tattoo shop with friends and worked as a tattoo artist.
However, Zhong Yan had contributed part of the money to start the shop—a fact Tang Xin was unaware of.
Tang Xin sat down on the sofa, frowning. “Tell me, what did he do that requires 500,000 yuan?”
“He accidentally injured someone severely,” Zhong Yan replied, sitting beside her, looking dejected. “The other party is demanding this much money for a private settlement; otherwise, they’ll send him to jail.”
“Did you go see him?”
“Mm. He’s actually very good to me, so I can’t let him go to jail.” Zhong Yan lowered her head. “Once this is settled, I won’t contact him anymore.”
Tang Xin didn’t know what to say. At that moment, the door opened.
Zhou Yang had returned. He paused at the doorway, a sardonic smile tugging at his lips. “Cousin.”
Tang Xin ignored him, left the money with Zhong Yan, and called her downstairs.
“I’ve told you before—my dad said Zhou Yang seems somewhat untrustworthy. Though he looks sunny and harmless, I still trust my dad.” Standing beside the car, Tang Xin warned Zhong Yan, “I’m just afraid you were set up initially, but it’s been so long, and there’s no evidence. If you don’t give him the money, you probably won’t be able to break up. Tomorrow, make him move out. As for whether you get the money back, I don’t care—consider it a loss to avoid future trouble.”
Zhong Yan bit her lip. “Mm…”
Tang Xin, frustrated, couldn’t help but scold her: “Don’t just agree whenever a handsome guy pursues you, letting him sleep with you for free and then giving him money. Are you stupid?”
Zhong Yan struggled to defend herself, speaking softly. “I understand. Please don’t tell my parents; otherwise, they’ll cut my allowance, and I won’t have money to pay you back.”
“If you keep seeing him, I’ll tell them.”
Tang Xin dropped a line and drove off.

Time flew by until Friday. With the National Day holiday approaching, Lin Zhengxu messaged Tang Xin, asking if she’d return to Suzhou during the holiday and offering to help book plane tickets.
She had originally thought things between her and Lin Zhengxu were over, but after the holiday, as Tang Xin came downstairs, she was startled to see Lin Zhengxu’s car parked outside. Leaning against the car door, he smiled at her.
People from the office building began trickling out. Someone familiar gave Tang Xin a teasing smile, while another person asked, “Is this your boyfriend?”
“No…” Tang Xin smiled faintly. “Just a fellow townsman.”
That description should be accurate—they were both from Suzhou, so they were indeed fellow townsmen.
She walked over, looking up at Lin Zhengxu with a slightly awkward smile. “Why are you here? You didn’t even let me know.”
Lin Zhengxu glanced at her, lightly smiling. “I invited you to dinner, but you declined.”
So, it wasn’t like he hadn’t mentioned it.
Tang Xin fell silent for a moment.
He looked at her and smiled warmly. “Get in the car first—it’s crowded here.”
Realizing he was right, Tang Xin pursed her lips and smiled. “Alright.”
Lin Zhengxu opened the passenger door, and Tang Xin noticed a large bouquet of vibrant pink roses on the seat. Surprised, she turned to look at him. Lin Zhengxu leaned in, picked up the flowers, and handed them to her, raising an eyebrow. “Now you can sit.”
Tang Xin stiffened for a moment, then smiled at him. “Thank you.”
Lin Zhengxu walked around the car and sat in the driver’s seat.
Holding the bouquet, Tang Xin didn’t know what to say for a moment. After thinking for a bit, she turned to him. “I thought you wouldn’t contact me anymore.”
Lin Zhengxu, being such a smart person, understood perfectly.
“You’re not going to reject me right now, are you?” Lin Zhengxu chuckled helplessly. “I drove for over an hour to see you—at least have dinner with me.”
“I’m afraid you’ll feel like you’re at a disadvantage after dinner,” Tang Xin teased, winking playfully. “I might as well say it now.”
“A loss is a loss—I don’t care.” The car was blocking the way, so Lin Zhengxu started driving, glancing at her distractedly. “Let’s talk after dinner. Consider it a meal with a fellow townsman, if nothing else.”
At this point, rejecting him would seem uninteresting.
Tang Xin smiled. “Alright, I’ll treat you.”
Lin Zhengxu’s lips curved slightly, and he didn’t refuse. “Sure.”
Tang Xin chose a nearby restaurant. After dinner, she planned to retrieve her car from the office building and drive home.
As soon as they sat down, Tang Yu called.
Tang Xin stared at her phone, hesitated for a moment, then answered.
Tang Yu had just gotten off the plane when he heard she had left with a handsome man—likely Lin Zhengxu based on the description. He got into his car, leaned back in the seat, and asked in a cold tone, “Where are you?”
“Having dinner.”
“With whom?”
“…”
“That Lin Zhengxu?”
The driver pulled out, and Tang Yu lowered the car window slightly, calmly leaning back in his seat.
Tang Xin flipped through the menu, then suddenly smiled. “Yes.”
Tang Yu clenched his jaw, restraining his temper. “Where?”
“Near the office.” Tang Xin said indifferently, “I’m having dinner now. We’ll talk later.”
With that, she hung up.
She put down her phone and looked across at Lin Zhengxu, meeting his gaze. She smiled faintly. “Actually, I have someone I like. The blind date was arranged by my mom, and I assume yours was too.” She paused. “I can’t pursue anything further with you.”
There were things Tang Xin needed to clarify with Lin Zhengxu upfront.
Sitting by the window, Lin Zhengxu lounged casually in his chair, legs crossed, a faint smirk playing on his lips. “Tang Yu?”
Tang Xin was taken aback and nodded. “Mm…” Curious, she asked, “How did you know?”
