Symphony Tier Bars Jan Peterson
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
3 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped nuts
2 oz. melted chocolate
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, and vanilla. Beat well Add flour, salt and nuts. Divide batter in half. Blend chocolate into of dough. Make 2 lays in 9 x 13 inch greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and frost.
Frosting
cup milk 3 Tbsp. flour
cup butter cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Blend flour and milk in small saucepan over heat until mixture forms a thick paste. Cool. Cream butter, powdered sugar and vanilla in small bowl. Add cooked mixture and beat on high speed for 5 minutes.
