Melting Moment Cookies Donna Morris
1 cup butter softened
1/3 cup powdered sugar
¼ tsp. almond extract
¾ cup cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup sifted flour
Cream butter and sugar. Add almond extract. Add dry ingredients and blen well. Chill. Roll 1 tsp dough into a ball between palms. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool and frost.
Frosting
2 Tbsp. butter
¼ tsp. almond extract
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Cream
Melt butter and sugar and flavorings. Add enough cream for proper consistency. Tint if desired. At Christmas I like pink and green sprinkled with red and green sugars.
