And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground and he said:
And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.-
the angels had the task of God to check how far the wickedness of Sodom men had come. Lot had foreseen how they would do, with these unprotected travelers (he did not know they were angels) the locals, because that had already happened over and over - the homosexual slander over the weak and unguarded travelers had already acquired terrible proportions in Sodom.
And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat. - and another time, Lot had rescued foreign travelers by sheltering them at home, but this night the wickedness of the inhabitants of the rich, settled and prosperous commercial city of Sodom became even more terrible ...
But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.- who had gathered outside the door of the unfortunate man, a few bandits? The text tells us something terrible - the whole city, all the men young and old. Therefore, the abomination of aggressive homosexuality has encompassed all society, youth and adults, all of whom have wanted to participate in this mass rape, in this abomination. Why should we deal with these disgusting things instead of avoiding them? Because the Bible warns us that in our time these mass offenses will be repeated.
Luca 17: 28. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29. But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all.
30. Even thus shall it be in the day
when the Son of man is revealed.
This time is characterized by acts of eating, drinking, etc., but in order Jesus to turn our attention to these things they apparently were not inherent at all times. There was something that made these actions unusual. We understand that people ate - they were overeating, wasting, drank – got drunk, got drunk with drugs, buy, sell - mean greedy trade (and slaves), seize foreign lands and property and accumulated all this, planted and built -glory gardens and magnificent houses and palaces, gorgeous and beautifully decorated with gold and silver.
All these actions have a spiritual aspect also

bought, sold-pride of spiritual superiority, salvation through works, unbelief, lawlessness , self-salvation, delusion that raises a person over God.
Ezekiel 28:16 16. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

and built towers of Babylon, spiritual fortresses against God, ecumenical idolatry, and rejection of God (Christ and His Law - especially the Sabbath) and acceptance of human authority, laws and decrees

5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Always idolatry has been accompanied by temple prostitution, including homosexual, involving both youngsters and girls.
All this idolatry is observed today and will lead, as it did in the time of Sodom, to the same fall of manners. So "the whole city young and old" wanted to participate in homosexual violence. What happens today?

We see that this fall in the abominations of the young and the old, the whole society will be recur in the near future, but to a much greater extent than the time of Sodom and Gomorrah.
6. And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, and said:
7. I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
8. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.- in his terrible confusion and shock of what was happening, Lot gave everything he had - his daughters.
9. And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Loth, and came near to break the door.- those who did wrong accused Loth that he hates them and condemns them. It will be the same in our time - people who do terrible immoral actions will say that whoever tells them that it is sinfully "offends" and "violates their rights" and will be punished by civilian power as an extremist and criminal. The culprit will blame the innocent. The Bible will be banned.

10.But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door..
11.And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.- God, through his angels, protected his faithful servant and his daughters from their pursuers.
12. And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
13.For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.- to testify to his loved ones, a last warning before the grace period has expired.
Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7. Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
14.And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.- Lot's sons-in-law accused him of being a jester and a scammer who wants to make them give up their pretty gardens and richly arranged houses. In fact, they were mockers and went mad, because after laughing good with Lot they refused to go with him and were doomed to destruction. Note that, as Lot symbolizes today's Adventist Church of Christ - the faithful God's people - and Lot's sons-in-law were his relatives, his family ("Do you have anybody else here: son-in-law, sons, daughters" it is they present today's mockers inside the Adventist Church who claim that Christ will not come soon. They were definitely under the influence of Satan, who deceived them to stay in the city (the world, sin) and to perish.
15. And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
16. And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.- As a result of his conversation with the mockers, Lot doubted that something would happen, forgetting what had happened in the previous evil night. Instead of convincing them, they convinced him that there would be no destruction of the city. Lot also doubted God's words and fell under the influence of Satan's deception. God brought him out of the sinful city (world, sin), and here it is seen that the sanctification of the righteous is a whole work of God and is done by faith.
17. And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.- the mountain is God's presence
Deuteronomy 33:2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

18. And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my LORD:
19. Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast showed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
20. Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
21. And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
22. Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
23. The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
24. Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
25. And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground..
26. But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.- in the same way many Adventists will go to God, but at some point under the influence of satanic deceit they will go back to the world (sin) and will be lost.
27. And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:
28. And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
29. And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
30. And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.- it is obvious that in this small town there was the same wickedness as in Sodom and Gomorrah, so that for Lot there is nothing left but to live in the mountain.
31. And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
32. Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
33. And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
34. And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father..
35. And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
Where did Lot's daughters know they could do that? Apparently it was spread "custom" in the destroyed cities - Sodom, Gomorrah, Adma and Seboim
