This Spicy Mango Margarita is a vibrant twist on the classic cocktail, combining the sweetness of ripe mango with the heat of jalapeño peppers. Perfect for summer gatherings or a festive evening, this cocktail offers a delightful balance of sweet and spicy flavors.
1 lime wedge
1 teaspoon chili-lime seasoning (such as Tajín®)
2 cups ice, or as needed
2 fluid ounces silver tequila
3 slices jalapeño pepper, or more to taste
4 fluid ounces mango nectar
3/4 fluid ounce triple sec or other orange liqueur
3/4 fluid ounce lime juice
Prepare the Glass: Sprinkle chili-lime seasoning onto a plate. Moisten the rim of a glass with the lime wedge and press it into the seasoning to coat. Fill the glass with ice.
Muddle Jalapeño: In a cocktail shaker, combine the silver tequila and jalapeño slices. Use a muddler to crush the peppers, releasing their oils and heat.
Mix the Drink: Add the mango nectar, triple sec, lime juice, and ice to the shaker. Seal and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is frosted, about 10 to 15 seconds.
Serve: Strain the mixture into the prepared glass. Garnish with additional jalapeño slices or a lime wedge if desired.
