Stuffed with gooey Cheddar cheese and seasoned with ketchup and mustard, it’s a crowd-pleasing twist on a traditional dinner favorite. Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 egg
1 onion, chopped
1 cup milk
1 cup dry bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, chopped onion, milk, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.
Spread half the meat mixture into a loaf pan. Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Cover the cheese with the remaining meat mixture and press down gently to seal.
In a small bowl, mix together the mustard, ketchup, and brown sugar. Spread this sauce evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the meat is cooked through and the loaf is firm.
