Waffle Iron Brownies are a quick and fun twist on traditional brownies. Using a waffle iron creates a crispy outside with a soft, gooey center, making them a perfect fast dessert or unique treat for any occasion.
Ingredients:
½ cup unsalted butter
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¾ cup white sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon water
1¼ cups all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
⅔ cup chopped pecans (optional)
⅓ cup confectioners' sugar (for decoration)
Directions:
Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in cocoa powder until smooth.
Mix in the sugar, eggs, and water. Beat in the flour and salt until well combined.
Stir in chopped pecans if using.
Spoon a heaping tablespoon of batter into each waffle iron well.
Close the waffle iron and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes, until brownies are set and slightly crispy.
Carefully remove the brownies and place on a wire rack to cool.
Dust with confectioners' sugar before serving.
