Broiled lobster tails are a simple yet elegant seafood dish perfect for special occasions or a delicious treat. The lobster meat is tender and flavorful, enhanced by a buttery garlic sauce, and quickly cooked under the broiler to give a beautifully caramelized finish.
Ingredients:
4 lobster tails (about 4 to 5 ounces each)
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Directions:
Preheat your oven broiler.
Using kitchen shears, cut down the top center of the lobster shell lengthwise, stopping just before the tail fin. Carefully pull the shell apart slightly and lift the lobster meat, keeping it attached at the base, and rest it on top of the shell.
In a small bowl, combine melted butter, lemon juice, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Brush the lobster meat generously with this butter mixture.
Place the lobster tails on a broiler pan or baking sheet.
Broil about 4 to 6 inches from the heat source for 8 to 12 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and lightly browned on top. Baste once or twice during broiling with the butter mixture for extra flavor.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges if desired.
