Ingredients:
For the Cake:
2½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup ground almonds
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
4 large eggs
1⅔ teaspoons vanilla extract
1½ teaspoons almond extract
1 cup milk
For the Glaze:
¼ cup milk
¾ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon almond extract
½ cup sliced almonds
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
In a bowl, combine flour, ground almonds, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla and almond extracts.
Add the dry ingredients alternately with milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Pour batter into the prepared Bundt pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack and cool completely.
For the glaze, combine milk, sugar, and almond extract in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Pour glaze over the cooled cake and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
Let the glaze set before serving.
