This spell causes the caster and any gear to become insubstantial as if made of mist.
The caster's body and gear appears as transparent, fog-like silhouette of the caster (only gross details can be discerned).
This form grants the caster a +34% chance to surprise others (sight). The form has no smell and does not disturb the air around it.
This form allows a movement rate of 60 ft. per round and the form can fit through any gaps not air tight. The form cannot move through liquids. The form does not grant the ability to fly, but the caster does not take damage from falling (being insubstantial).
The caster can see or hear normally. The form cannot produce noise and does breathe (and breathing is not required).
Strong winds, magical or mundane, will drag a wraithform along at the air current speed minus the 60 ft. per round movement rate.
The form cannot affect objects and the creature cannot use gear, magic items, spells or innate abilities (including spell-like abilities). Saving throws made while in wraithform cannot be adjusted by physical ability scores or magical items possessed by the caster.
Undead will ignore the caster while in wraithform unless the undead has an Intelligence rating of exceptional or higher (15+). In this case, the undead is granted a -4 disbelief save vs Spell if it becomes aware of the caster's form.
While in wraithform, the caster is considered to have DR/+1.
Otherwise, the form is immune to all effects, mundane or magical, with the following exceptions:
Magical fire will cause normal damage.
Magical electricity will cause normal damage.
A whirlwind-type of effect that causes damage will do double damage to the caster.
The spell effect is subject to dispel magic effects, dispel illusion effects, or anti-magic.
Material Components. A bit of gauze and charcoal. The components are consumed in the casting of the spell. Cost/Scarcity. 1 s.p./Common.
Known Substitutions. None.
