The target becomes held if it misses it's saving throw.
The caster can select each target by sight.
Cleric Version: A single target chosen suffers a -2 penalty to the save. Two targets chosen will both suffer a -1 penalty to the save. More than two targets chosen grant no modifiers. Clerics can cast this spell as a touch spell if desired (so an invisible creature can be targeted for example).
Magic-user Version: A single target chosen suffers a -3 penalty to the save. Two targets chosen will both suffer a -1 penalty to the save. More than two targets chosen grant no modifiers.
Limitations
The spell only affects creatures with the creature type or sub-type, humanoid.
Material Components (Cleric Only). A small straight bar of iron which is consumed in the casting. Cost/Scarcity. 2 s.p./Uncommon.
Known Substitutions. Use of an adamantite bar will reduce magic resistance by 20% (cleric only).
