This spell will restores life to a dead humanoid.
When cast and a dead humanoid's body is touched:
The recipient must make a Resurrect save or the raise dead attempt fails.
The recipient is restored to life.
The recipient loses 1 point of Constitution permanently.
The recipient is weak and must rest 24 hours for every full day of death or a minimum of 10 rounds.

Limitations
Only creatures with souls, including humans, dwarves, gnomes, halflings and half-elves can be raised with this spell.
The caster can only use this spell on a creature that has been dead for 1 day per caster level.
The dead humanoid's body must be relatively whole and the head attached and intact. Any major damage or missing parts will not be regenerated by this spell. Thus, a body whose torso is partially consumed, or one that has a severed head cannot be raised.
Humanoids without a Constitution score can only be raised a maximum of 10 times. Humanoids with a Constitution score can only be raised a maximum of once per orginal point of Constitution.

This spell kills the targeted creature.
The target must save vs. Poison (death) or die immediately. A successful save negates the death effect but the target takes 2d8 damage + 1 point of damage per caster level (this effect is considered energy drain as per a cause wounds spell).
Limitations
Only creatures with souls, including humans, dwarves, gnomes, halflings and half-elves can be slain with this spell.
Performance Rating Notes. Evil clerics using raise dead and Good clerics casting slay living will gain a performance rating mark.
