This spell allows the caster to memorize more spells.
This spell must be cast just before a mage memorizes spells adding 10 rounds to the process.
The spell allows the mage to add 4 levels of spells to their spell slots per day. These may be combined to add more powerful spells but each spell must be less than 4th level.
Thus, a mage can memorize four additional 1st level spells or two 2nd level spells or one 1st level spell and one 3rd level spell, etc.
The new spells added each have faster casting times based on the original casting time of the spell. A spell with less than 10 segments (1 round) of casting time has a casting time of 1 segment. A spell with a casting time of 1 round will have a casting time of 5 segments (plus one segment per round of casting time up to 9). A spell with a casting time of 10 rounds becomes a casting time of 1 round. Spells with a casting time of over 10 rounds are unaffected.
If a spell has a built-in delay, the delay is unaffected.
Limitations
Metamagic spells only affect mage spells even if the caster is multi-classed.
A metamagic spell cannot be used to affect another metamagic spell or used on a spell combined with another metamagic spell.
