This spell summons creatures to do the caster's bidding.
The spell caster casts the spell and selects the creature category and, if more than one type of creature exists in the category, it will be determined randomly.
The number of creatures is determined by the GM (and should be 1 to 6 creatures), but suggestions are listed by creature type.
The caster knows the type and number of creatures summoned before they arrive.
Once the spell is cast, the creatures will appear in 1d4 rounds. While the caster does not know the exact timing of when they appear, the caster can use an immediate action to designate where the creatures appear up to 40-ft. away from the caster's current location (in line of sight and effect).
If placed into a melee, the creatures can begin attacking designated opponents as visualized by the caster on low initiative in the same round they appear. Otherwise, the summoned creatures are free to act beginning on low initiative, attacking opponents as visualized by the caster, or if the caster is able to communicate effectively, perform some other task.
Once summoned, the creatures can move about, not restricted by the range of the spell.
Designating Opponents. [innate] (control) Each round after the creatures are summoned, the caster can designate new opponents as an innate ability. If all opponents fall, the summoned creatures will await new orders. Creatures with an Intelligence rating under Low can normally only be commanded to attack a visualized foe.
