The spell will open containers, clasps, or portals whether they are stuck, welded, barred, locked, or the mechanism for opening is hidden or a puzzle.
The spell will perform up to 2 functions within the area of effect, as desired by the spell caster:
It will open 2 locked doors
It will open 2 locked containers
It will open 2 sets of manacles
It will open one locked door and one secret door
It will open one locked and barred door
The spell will temporarily negate a Wizard's Lock spell for 10 rounds (counts as one function).
The spell will indicate the presence of a secret door in the area of effect.
Even enclosures or clasps that are welded shut will be opened (per the GM).
In all cases, the object or portal will open on it's own with the normal amount of noise (hinges squeaking, etc.). Welds will make an audible popping noise (depending on the material).
Limitations.
The spell does not open vertically moving portals (gates, portcullises, etc.).
Traps tied to opening the object/portal will still be sprung unless the bypass is tied to opening in an incorrect manner (e.g. turning a key counter-clockwise). Some traps will be rendered ineffective (e.g. poison needles in a lock).
