Upon a successful touch, the caster can deliver a powerful shock to the target.
Once cast, the caster must make a successful contact touch attack to deliver the electricity damage.
The caster can also make a melee weapon attack using a metal weapon that will deliver the electricity damage on top of the weapon damage for the first successful attack (effects that multiply damage will not multiply the electricity damage).
The spell does 1d8 points of electricity damage plus 1 point of additional electricity damage per caster level to the creature touched. If the target wears armor with the metal attribute, the additional damage will instead be 2 points per caster level.
Attacks that miss the target will not discharge the spell.
