This spell will change most liquids to pure water. Liquids are defined as water-based liquids with a viscosity similar to water.
Food is made fresh and edible. Food is defined as plant matter or unliving animal matter.
The spell will make a dead body fresh, although this will not change the effective time of death and will not remove curses (such as becoming undead). In any case, the spell does not heal or make bodies whole. In general, a minimum of a 3rd level caster is required to affect a typical human-sized body.
Limitations
The spell is blocked by any closed container.
In general, unless mixed with food (and is then treated as food), oils are unaffected.

Save vs. Poison if consumed (save avoids)
Consumables—liquids and/or food is made unsafe for humanoids to consume.
The appearance or smell of the food or liquid does not change.
If consumed by a living humanoid, the consumer must make a save vs. Poison (save avoids). A save must be made for each round of consumption. If a save is failed, after an onset time of 2d6 rounds, the creature becomes nauseated for 1d4 rounds and sickened for an additional 1d4 rounds. Effects on non-humanoids are per the GM.
Performance Rating Notes. Good clerics using putrefy food and drink in order to poison an intelligent creature will gain a performance rating mark.
