This spell will provide a sacred blessing upon a creature or object.
This spell has four different uses. The spell caster must select one use from the following list when the spell is cast.
Area Burst. All allies (as perceived by the caster; including the caster) in the area of effect gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls and a bonus of 10% on morale checks for a duration of 6 rounds.
Dead Creature. Range. Touch. Duration. Instantaneous. The spell may be cast on the body of one deceased creature. This is typically used to consecrate a body so it will not become undead (which may or may not work depending on the circumstances).
Object. Range. Touch. Duration. Instantaneous. The caster can bless a specially prepared object weighing up to 1-lb. per caster level. Objects must be specially prepared religious items and of very high quality. Typical uses for this effect are to prepare fonts for the making of holy water or the consecration of profane objects.
Weapon. Range. Touch. Duration. Permanent until discharged. The caster can bless a single specially prepared object weighing up to 1-lb. per caster level. Objects must be specially prepared religious items or of very high quality. This allows the weapon to gain a +1 bonus to it's attack roll the next time it is used. The magic is then discharged (used/gone). The weapon is also considered sacred which may or may not grant it other effects against certain creatures. Once used, the magic is gone, but the weapon remains (although ammunition may be lost or broken as is normal). Specially prepared items normally cost +50 g.p. per piece of ammunition, +100 g.p. for Small weapons, +250 g.p. for Medium weapons, and +500 g.p. for Large weapons. Magic weapons are typically of sufficient quality for the purposes of this spell.
Material Components. 1/4 of a vial of holy water which is consumed during the casting. Somatic movement during casting time includes the retrieval and opening, pouring, closing, then stowing of the vial. Cost/Scarcity. 25 g.p. per vial/Uncommon.
Known Substitutions. None.

Casting Time 1 round
Range 60-ft.
Area of Effect 25-ft. radius burst

Save vs. Spell (save negates)
A curse spell will curse enemies or render objects profane. It has no effect on the deceased.
Area Burst. All enemies (as perceived by the caster) in the area of effect gain a -1 penalty to attack rolls and a penalty of 10% on morale checks for a duration of 6 rounds. Creatures in the area gain a saving throw against this effect.
Object. As per the bless spell, although it will make objects profane. This capability is also used to desecrate holy objects (removing any bless effects and making them profane in the process).
Weapon. As per the bless spell, including the bonus to attack, although weapons become profane and must be wielded by an Evil creature.
Material Components. 1/4 of a vial of unholy water which is consumed during the casting. Somatic movement during casting time includes the retrieval and opening, pouring, closing, then stowing of the vial. Cost/Scarcity. 25 g.p. per vial/Uncommon.
Known Substitutions. None.
Performance Rating Notes. Good clerics using curse and Evil clerics using bless will gain a performance rating mark.
