Good morning, children! How are you? It’s time to start our lesson and today we’re going to discuss the results of our final tests, revise the vocabulary and the rules we’ve learnt. Besides that during the following 45 minutes we’ll practice our reading and listening skills, try to improve the writing ones. So, let’s begin working!
Доброго ранку, діти! Як справи? Час розпочинати наш урок і сьогодні ми з вами обговоримо результати виконаних контрольних робіт, повторимо лексику та граматичні правила, з якими працювали. Окрім цього, протягом наступних 45 хвилин ми практикуватимемо наші навички читання та аудіювання, спробуємо удосконалити навички письма. Отже, починаймо роботу!

Read the text and do the tasks
David Smith is an English schoolboy. He is eleven years old and he is a pupil of St.Patrick School in London.
David lives with his father and mother in a little town of Greenwich not far from London.
His address is 21, Green Street.
David's school is far from his house, so he goes to his school by a school bus. David Smith is a first-year pupil of a secondary school. His lessons begin at nine o'clock in the morning. He usually has seven lessons a day: four lessons before dinner and three lessons in the afternoon, after dinner. David always has dinner at school, but some pupils of his class go home to have dinner during a big break.
At five o'clock David comes back from school. He has a rest. He plays with his friends, reads books or plays computer games. David has his supper with the family at six or seven o'clock in the evening. He goes to bed at ten o'clock. Before going to bed he usually has tea with a piece of cake.

3) Письмо
Complete the sentences with the past simple form of the verbs in brackets – positive or negative (доповніть речення дієсловами з дужок у минулому простому часі – стверджувальній або заперечній формі)
* Past Simple використовується для вираження дій, що відбувались в минулому та не пов’язані з теперішнім.
Наприклад: This man once won a medal. – Цей чоловік одного разу виграв медаль.
She worked abroad for 20 years. – Вона працювала за кордоном двадцять років. (Вона
більше не працює за кордоном)
Стверджувальне речення
Past Simple утворюється за допомогою використання форми минулого часу смислового дієслова. Якщо дія виражена правильним дієсловом, то його форма минулого часу утворюється за допомогою додавання закінчення «-ed» до його словникової форми. Якщо вживається неправильне дієслово, тоді використовується його друга форма з таблиці неправильних дієслів. Якщо потрібне дієслово відсутнє в таблиці, це означає, що воно правильне і минулий час утворюється за допомогою закінчення -ed. Форма минулого часу дієслова однакова для всіх осіб однини та множини (окрім дієслова to be).
Наприклад: She worked abroad. – Вона працювала за кордоном.
My uncle lived here. – Мій дядько жив тут.
Harry wrote a lot of books. – Гаррі написав багато книг.
Зверніть увагу!
якщо правильне дієслово закінчується приголосною літерою, додаємо закінчення «-ed»
Наприклад: talk - talked
cook - cooked
answer - answered
якщо правильне дієслово закінчується німою «e», на письмі додаємо тільки «-d»
Наприклад: live - lived
smile - smiled
close - closed
якщо правильне дієслово закінчується буквою «y», перед якою стоїть приголосна, на письмі треба «y» поміняти на «i» + «ed»
Наприклад: study - studied
copy - copied
try - tried
Заперечне речення
Заперечення в Past Simple утворюється за допомогою допоміжного дієслова «did» та заперечної частки «not» після нього, що стоять після підмету та перед смисловим дієсловом.
_____ + did + not + V1 …
Наприклад: She did not work abroad. – Вона не працювала за кордоном.
Harry did not write a lot of letters. – Гаррі не написав багато листів.
His uncle didn’t live here. – Його дядько не жив тут.
Your grandfather didn’t dance. – Твій дідусь не танцював.
