Germany Endrunde


1903/04 - 1962/63 the German championship was decided in a national playoff called "Endrunde". The number of teams varied considerably over the years; From under 10 to 31 in 1943/44.

SV Prussia Samland from Königsberg (now Kaliningrad in Russia) folded in 1945 but played for the German championship on three occasions.

Note: W.O. games are not counted. If a team left a w.o. in their first game of an ”Endrunde” then that season is not counted for them. 1902/03: The semifinal DFC Prag vs. Karlsruher SV wasn't played. 1903/04: The final between VfB Leipzig and Britania Berlin wasn't played. 1904/05: Two games weren't played. 1907/08: The game Stuttgarter Kickers vs. Freiburger FC was declared void and later replayed. I have only counted the replayed game here. 1910/11: The game Viktoria'89 Berlin vs. Lituania Tilsit was not played. 1914/15 – 18/19: No championships was played because of WW1. 1942/43: VfB Königsberg were disqualifed after having played two games and replaced by the first team they had defeated: SV Neufahrwasser. Königsbergs results are counted though. 1943/44: The third place playoff between 1. FC Nürnberg and HSV Gross Born was never played as the latter did not show. 1944/45 - 1946/47: Not played because of WW2 and its aftermath. 1947/48: The game Nürnberg vs. Planitz was never played.
