SCOTLAND Highland League alltimetable 1893/94-2022/23

The Highland League was created in 1893. Nowadays it is part of 5th level - along with the Lowland league. The table has been compiled via RSSSF and Wikipedia tables. Playoffs are counted. 1893/94: Forres Mechanics were awarded two (three with three points for a win) as Inverness Union forfeited  one game. Ross County resigned from the league in November 1893 after playing three games. 1893/94: Inverness Citadel were awarded two (three) as Inverness Union forfeited one game. Ross County  resigned from the league in November 1893 after playing three games. 1896/97: Forres Mechanics record was deleted after the couldn't complete their fixtures. 1897/98: Ten games were left unplayed. 1898/99: Inverness Celtic and Inverness Union were each awarded two (three) points as Elgin City failed  to complete fixtures against them. Forres Mechanics had four (six points) deducted. 1900/01: Three games were left unplayed. Inverness Thistle were awarded two (three) points as Cameron  Highlanders failed to fullfil a fixture. Inverness Citadel had four (six) points deducted for fielding  ineligible players. 1906/07: One game was left unplayed. 1907/08: Three games were left unplayed. 1908/09: Three games were left unplayed. 1908/09: Three games were left unplayed. 1909/10: One game was left unplayed. 1914/15: Season abandoned because of WW1 and therefore not counted. 1915/16-1918/19: Not played because of WW1. 1920/21: Two games were left unplayed. 1928/29: One game was left unplayed. 1930/31: One game was left unplayed. 1932/33: Ross County had two (three) points deducted for fielding ineligible players. 1937/38: Keith had four (six) points deducted for fielding ineligible players. 1939/40: Season abandoned because of WW2 and therefore not counted. 1940/41-1945/46: Not played because of WW2. 1954/55: Championship abandoned and no championship awarded; therefore not counted. 1955/56: One game was left unplayed. 1958/59: One game was left unplayed. 1962/63: Three games were left unplayed. 1964/65: One game was left unplayed. 1965/66: One game was left unplayed. 1992/93: Elgin City were stripped of the title because they had brought the game into disrepute by playing  a game earlier than stipulated. Their record was allowed to stand though. 2014/15: Turriff United had three points deducted. 2018/19: Rothes had three points deducted and Fort William had nine points deducted. 2019/20: The season was halted in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The standings at the time were eventually allowed to stand. 2020/21: The season was halted with just a few games played. However, the points per game system was used to declare a winner, so the season is counted here.
