NOTES

1. The "y" in Espanyol was added when the 1995/96-season started. 2. Real Sociedad were called Donostia from 1931/32 through 1934/35. 3. CD Malaga had three points deducted during the 1979/80-season. 4. Condal were called Espana Industrial when they gained promotion 1956/57.     They changed their name in pre-season. 5. Burgos CF were dissolved in 1983. The present club is a different one      called Real Burgos. 6. CD Malaga were dissolved in 1992. The present club is a different one     called Malaga CF. 7. Racing Santander had one point deducted during the 2003/04-season for use     of a non-EU player too much during a game. 8. 1936/37, 1937/38 & 1938/39-seasons cancelled because of the civil war. 9. The city of Tetuan (Tetouan) is situated in Morocco. During the first half of the 1950s Spain had control over the northern half of Morocco ("Protectorate of Northern Morocco")  and teams from what is now Morocco played in the Spanish leaguesystem.
