General notes:

1910/11 & 1915/16: No championships played. 1912/13: Valletta United were disqualified and had all their matches annulled. The season is not counted for them as no games were officially played. 1916/17: Championship playoff: St. Georges - Sliema Wanderers 4-0 is counted in the table. 1917/18: Championship playoff: Hamrun Spartans vs.  St Georges 4-2 is counted in the table. 1918/19: Cospicua Rangers must have one game awarded but no goals scored or their goals for are erroneous. 1939/40: Championship playoff: Sliema Wanderers vs.  St Georges 2-1 is counted in the table. 1940/41-1943/44: Seasons cancelled because of WWII. 1948/49: Relegation decider: St George's vs. Naxxar Lions 4-1 is counted in the table. 1968/69: 2nd place playoff: Floriana FC vs. Valletta FC 2-0 is counted in the table. 1970/71: Championship playoff: Sliema Wanderers vs.  Marsa FC 3-0 is counted in the table. 1971/72: Championship playoff: Sliema Wanderers vs.  Floriana FC 2-0 is counted in the table. 1972/73: 2nd place playoff: Sliema Wanderers vs. Hamrun Spartans 3-0 is counted in the table. 1973/74: Relegation decider: Birkirkara FC vs. Qormi 1-0 is counted in the table. 1975/76: 3rd place playoff: Hibernians vs. Zebbug Rangers 3-0 is counted in the table. 1976/77: Relegation decider: Msida St. Joseph vs. Zebbug Rangers 1-1, 2-2 (aet, 5-4 pen.) is counted (as two draws) in the table. 1981/82: 2nd place playoff: Zurrieq FC vs. Floriana FC 1-0 is counted in the table. 1983/84: Group allocation playoff: Rabat Ajax FC vs. Zurrieq FC 2-0 is counted in the table. 1984/85: Last round of matches not played because of players' strike. 1986/87: 2nd place playoff: Valletta FC vs. Zurrieq FC 2-1 is counted in the table. 1988/89: Relegation mini-leauge is counted in the table. 1989/90: 3rd place playoff:Hibernians vs. Hamrun Spartans 1-0 is counted in the table. 1989/90: Valletta FC had 2 points deducted. 1991/92: Relegation decider: Luqa St Andrew's vs. Zurrieq FC 2-0 is counted in the table. 2004/05: Msida St Joseph 2 points deducted for a member of their staff hitting an assistent referee. 2008/09: Relegation decider: Msida St Joseph vs. Tarxien Rainbows 1-1 (aet, 4-5 pen.) is counted in  the table. 2009/10: The 3rd place playoff: Qormi vs. Sliema Wanderers 1-2 is counted in the table. 2012/13: Championship decider: Birkirkara vs. Hibernians 3-1, is counted in the table. 2013/14: Floriana had six points deducted. 2016/17: Marsa had five points deducted. 2020/21: The season was not played through because of Covid-19. However, as more than 75% of the games were played the table at the halt was declared official.
