FINLAND 1.xlsx

Notes

During the 1980:s anbd early 90:s the Finnish league was divided after a preliminary stage into a championship playoff and a relegation playoff.  In the latter did teams from 2nd level participate. That is why that is not counted here and the teams that only played the preliminary stage  just have 0,5 seasons then. This only applies to this system and not the one where the league was divided and no 2nd level teams participated, nor does it apply to the seasons  when the regular season was followed by a knock-out championship playoff stage. For example, Sepsi-78 actually played three seasons but as two of these were half they actually only played two seasons…  1908-29: Only a cupcompetition was played as championdecider. As no complete  results have been found they are not counted in the table. 1930: A championship decider that was played between HIFK Helsinki - TPS Turku  (4-1) is counted in the table. 1938: A relegation decider that was played between HIFK Helsinki and Koparit Kuopio (5-1) is counted in the table. 1939: The league was abandoned because of World War II. However, the standings  at the time were declared final. 1940: No league was played. Only a cupcompetition. As no complete results have  been found it is not counted in the table. 1940/41: The league was abandoned because of World War II. However, the  standings at the time were declared final. 1942: No league was played. Only a cupcompetition.
