SWEDEN 3RD LEVEL ALLTIMETABLE 1929-2023

A regular third level was first installed for the 1928/29 season. The most northern part of Sweden, roughly north of the county of Medelpad, was not incorporated until 1952/53-season though. The structure have varied over the years - from at most 18 groups 1943/44 to just two nowadays. SWEDEN-3.xlsx

Notes

1940/41: Two points are missing from the table in the Nordvästra group and the

number of losses is two more than the number of wins. This is because in one

game (unclear which) none of the teams received any points because of some sort

of rule infringement; possibly playing with ineligible players. Thus both teams

got a loss as a results of this.

1944/45: Two points are missing from the table in the Sydöstra Södra group and

the number of losses is two more than the number of wins. This is because in one

game (unclear which) none of the teams received any points because of some sort

of rule infringement; possibly playing with ineligible players. Thus both teams

got a loss as a results of this.

1946/47: The Norrländska Södra group is counted for this season as the winner qualified for 2nd level.

1946/47: Riddarhytte SK withdrew from the Centralserien Norra group during the

first round of matches. Their record was declared null and void.

1952/53 and on: The most northern part of Sweden was incorporated in the

relegation and promotion to and from 3rd level.

1957/58: This season was played over 1½ years as Sweden changed to calenderyear

of playing.

1964: The game in Norra Norrland Övre between Kiruna AIF & Överkalix IF was

cancelled due to bad pitch.

1966: After the original season ended Sölvesborgs GIF was the champions in the

Sydöstra Götaland group. However, IFK Kristianstad protested against Saltö BK

and claimed they had used an ineligible player in several matches. The Swedish

football federation gave them right and Saltö BK was removed of all the points

they had taken with that player in the line-up. This resulted in an alteration

of the table which meant that IFK Kristianstad won the promotion spot. But this

is not all, the federation decided to increase one of the division 2 (2nd level)

groups to 13 teams and thus giving a promotion spot to the original winner of

the group above, Sölvesborgs GIF, as well.

1968: The game IFK Kalix vs. Gällivare SK in Norra Norrland Övre was left unplayed

because of snow!

1971: The city of Hälsingborg changed name to Helsingborg.

2001: Nacka FF withdrew from the Östra Svealand group because of financial

difficulties. Their record was declared null and void.

2004: Valsta Syrianska IK had three points deducted in the Östra Svealand group

for crowd trouble (members of the crowd attacked the referee).
